saw one at a car show white with black interior very nice. it is a little slower then some but even Motor trend said that it way more comfy then it rival. People with cars like this or the M5 or CTSV you dont drive it fast everyday. You drive it fast time to time but it will be mostly used it to drive to work, the store, or a long drive with the family and i would take comfort ride more then a hard firm drive

The Motor Trend and Road & Track tests have the M5 hitting 60 in 4.1 and the XFR in 4.5. They have the M5 running the 1/4 mile in 12.4 and the XFR in 12.7. Top Gear and Autocar, which are two Uk shows that should be naturally biased towards the XFR had the M5 around their tracks and the M5 was faster than the XFR on all 3. By 0.5 secs per lap on the Top Gear track, 0.8 on the Auto Car dry track and 5 full seconds in the dry.

This review is bullshit. The M5 runs 0-60 in 4.1 and the quarter mile in 12.4 according to both Road & Track and Motor Trend, the XFR is MUCH SLOWER THAN THE M5. Autocar tested it in their dry and wet handling course and the M5 turned out to be 0.8s faster than the Jag in the dry and an AMAZING 5s faster in the wet. Top Gear posted their report on the XFR and claimed that it is much slower than the M5 but the ride quality is better. Ride quality? Boring... M5 is still king.
It's not much slower at all. The XFR has a much more powerful engine than the M5. The engine in the road going XFR is toned down to 510HP because of the transmission. That's why the bonneville XFR had a different type of transmission so the engine could run to its full potential.
You can't accept that the M5 loses, which it does. Jaguar always underestimate their 0-60 times. Expect this "toned down" XFR to do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. 4.1 for the M5? Nah, more like 4.7.

The 0-60 time produced by Jaguar are always slightly slower than the car can actually achieve. In this video, it does it in 4.5. That's on the toned down 510HP V8.

Your "Precious" M5 is .3 of a second slower than this XFR. That's because even my old S-type 2.7d had almost as much torque as your pile of crap. And my new XF S has LIGHTYEARS more torque than it.

I wouldn't want an American company to own an Premium brand because they ruin everything. Look at what GM did to Saab, what Ford did to Volvo. Both of those cars used to last up to 400,000 miles. Saabs now can last up to 120,000. Volvos can last up to 200,000.

Both still offer class leading comfort and luxury, now they are faster and have better reliability, that's not ruining. I have a CTS-v my brother has a XFR
i pretty much beat him at anyspeed and can exsit a turn faster due to the electromanegtic suspension wich adjusts
every 1/1000 th of a second.
the Jag is SWEET..... some people like Jags......i remeber the older problem plagued ones....Hence the Caddy.
And Yes i feel the Caddy is world class , as it has been proven so for the anti American detractors...triple black with dark tints... no chrome wheels they maake it look like its trying to hard.

The XFR is a super saloon that you can use every day. While the others use huge cumbersome V10 engines, which drink fuel and offer very little over this V8 apart from a higher rev limit.

Admittedly he did say it was "as good as and praise doesn't get higher than that". So as we can see the 5 year old M5 is still the standard by which even current sports sedans are measured. Sorry, F1 derived? 24 Hour races (If that were true) Would be 1 hour long and the other 23 hours will be setting up that stupid gearbox which is actually slower shifting than my "Ladyboy auto" Which is smooth as hell. Whereas in an M5, the shifts are rough, as is the ride. Also, the headlights are shit. I couldn't see crap when I was testing an M5 a couple of weeks ago.

It also beats it in the braking test CONSTANTLY.
Wow, 60-0 in 108ft, let's see the M5 do that.
As a matter of fact, they didn't self cancel. Also, while I was driving home on the motorway that night. The headlamps on the M5/5 series failed to light the road adequately. I couldn't see shit. That explains how ugly shaped they are in the first place.
Gearbox. Nothing to rave about - I almost certainly prefer the one in the XF, hands down.

The Motor Trend and Road & Track tests have the M5 hitting 60 in 4.1 and the XFR in 4.5. They have the M5 running the 1/4 mile in 12.4 and the XFR in 12.7. Top Gear and Autocar, which are two Uk shows that should be naturally biased towards the XFR had the M5 around their tracks and the M5 was faster than the XFR on all 3. By 0.5 secs per lap on the Top Gear track, 0.8 on the Auto Car dry track and 5 full seconds in the dry.

Stop lying about testing the M5. You aren't even old enough to have a license. All M5 models from 2007 to date have self canceling indicators, and the headlamps work just fine. It was actually 11.5 and 11.7. Not 12.4 and 12.7.
One day BMW will be able to combine both luxury and performance. But at the moment, their cars are far too hard riding and ugly to do that.

Good thing about the XFR is it has the measure of the M5 in handling & pace yet can be as soft & supple as a Lexus LS or an S class when it needs to be.. M5 simply CAN'T do this according to any motoring mag.

This review is bullshit. The M5 runs 0-60 in 4.1 and the quarter mile in 12.4 according to both Road & Track and Motor Trend, the XFR is MUCH SLOWER THAN THE M5. Autocar tested it in their dry and wet handling course and the M5 turned out to be 0.8s faster than the Jag in the dry and an AMAZING 5s faster in the wet. Top Gear posted their report on the XFR and claimed that it is much slower than the M5 but the ride quality is better. Ride quality? Boring... M5 is still king.

It's not much slower at all. The XFR has a much more powerful engine than the M5. The engine in the road going XFR is toned down to 510HP because of the transmission. That's why the bonneville XFR had a different type of transmission so the engine could run to its full potential.
You can't accept that the M5 loses, which it does. Jaguar always underestimate their 0-60 times. Expect this "toned down" XFR to do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. 4.1 for the M5? Nah, more like 4.7.

Third, it is 5 years old because it was introduced in 2004 as a 2005 year model you idiotic little boy. The XFR is better on the road because it is designed for leisured old men. It doesn't have an F1 derived SMG transmission, it has a ladyboy automatic, and ass saving suspensions so that your ass can relax after it's been pounded by faggots all day. The thing is as a Performance car it is slow in both straights and tracks so it is GARBAGE, it would be mor adequate if it simply dropped the R.

"Leisured old men". This video isn't about your boxy M5, pal. That's the only car in this class that I've seen more old men driving than Jaguar's. I've seen many young people driving Jag's and many older people driving BMW's. Strange, huh?
The 0-60 time produced by Jaguar are always slightly slower than the car can actually achieve. In this video, it does it in 4.5. That's on the toned down 510HP V8.
If this were a 600HP V8, the 0-60 time would plummet, well below 3 seconds.

Your "Precious" M5 is .3 of a second slower than this XFR. That's because even my old S-type 2.7d had almost as much torque as your pile of crap. And my new XF S has LIGHTYEARS more torque than it.
I'm not in denial of anything. The XFR isn't trying to be an M5. It's trying to be a very fast Jaguar. And that is what it is. You are very desperate it seems to protect your ageing M5 from hitting its grave. Even though it's time is up. And Jaguar will release something revised in 11'.

IT was so freakin stupid how they just compared an xfr s 0-60 time to the c63 amg's their not in the same class for crying out loud the one thing i have to say to edmunds inside line is get your class field's of veichle's right before you stir people up about these stupid mentions about compareing something to something else thats not even in the same class they got it right when they compared the xfr to the m5 and cts-v's 0-60 time's but they just screwed up when they compared it to the c63 amg
