I loved the movie, but someone at work made an interesting observation about the end, why couldnt she fly to get the medicine and back like she did in most of the movie? It had to be I guess.

@Desperadounico I think its cause and i could be wrong, they werent really flying but practicing the art of levitation. to get there and back wouldve been too l8 plus i think it made the movie waay better to not have a cliche ending...i hope it helps, thats just what i think, i could be wrng

Yo Yo Ma's haunting Cello, combined with Tan Duns score, add to the memory of this movie by removing me to that place of complete serenity, yet unrequited conflict that this "movie for the ages" creates within it's frames...it's almost too much. This is one of my favorite scores/movies of all times...crossing all cultural boundaries in to the universal language of never ending conflict that fills all our lives, and the unconditional love that saves us.

this makes me really proud to have been a cellist. i was allways overlooked next to the violins and i never got a decent part to play which made me give up. the school wouldnt even let me into string group or orchestera because i had to be in third year which at that point i wasnt. its really nice to see people appreciating the sheer beauty of the cello. this is the single most amazing cello piece i have ever heard
