Having owned both HK and Glock weapons...I have to say Glock is better pretty much in everyway than HK....My Glock 21(full sized .45 comparable to the USP .45) is a full 45g lighter, 7mm shorter over all yet manages an extra 5mm of barrel length, Not to mention the ability to carry up to 4 rounds MORE than the USP and has considerably few parts...Not to mention the fact I can replace everything excepting the barrel, frame and slide for less than 100 bucks. Hmm yup, still a glock man...

There's a lot of youtube vids from some guys who test all varieties of .45 hollow point rounds to compare expansion. They test by getting on a platform and shoot down into a barrel of water out in a field. The round hitting the water causes it to expand and stop they can recover the expanded round intact and clean for consistent tests.

Also shooting a puddle with a .45 will make a HUGE splash!

This may be a dumb question, but I've never shot any gun underwater. Before you shot that, did the barrel actually fill with watter or was air trapped in there? And if water was in the barrel, how the hell does it do it? How does the weapon not blow up or something???? Or crack the barrel? It mystifies me. Thanks.

@ThePopeAndy i wouldn't fire the ak. whenf fired underwater, there is an increace in chamber pressure. .45 acp is a low pressure cartridge and shouldn't have a problem but the ak round has an already high chamber pressure.

you do not NEED a marine spring cup to do it... i believe they sell it so it can be done more effectively.. however there are tons of videos of stock glocks on youtube doing it.. i believe i even seen a guy empty a 33rd mag into a trash can... but either way.. do u plan on having a fire fight underwater?... any gun will most likely do it at least one.. but why put down a gun that is known to be able to do it with or without that part?

Ive also shot a beretta 21a 25acp under water and it worked for about 4 rounds then stove piped. The glock didnt have the cup bullshit that people insists a glock needs to fire under water
