  • Chris Matthews is a fool!

  • I agree with Prager that Islam is worse than Christianity in our time; but when he says he's unaware of groups of Christians killing in the name of Christ, I suspect he's just not paying attention. The Lord's Resistance Army is a good example.

The Irish Republican Army is very similar, though it has elements of nationalism as well.

That said, I'll reiterate that I agree with Prager's points.

  • Dennis Prager rocks! A Jew who defends Christianity! That's great, I love it!

  • It's extremely easy to understand the root of the problem: Jesus was good and Muhammad was evil. Case closed.

  • @CorrosionX3 As an atheist I can appreciate your humor here, but it betrays a deep ignorance on your part. Jesus was a pretty good guy (even if a fictional character). He helped the poor, he didn't kill anyone. He suffered for other people. Muhammad was a pretty bad guy. He had sex with a 9 year old girl, he was the head of a murderous army and killed lots of people.

Either you can't make distinctions between these two or you can. I suspect you just didn't think about it.

  • @darwinkilledgod So.... Jesus was good and Mohammed was evil...exactly what I said... However there really is a real Jesus that is recorded in the Bible, I'll grant you there are a lot of fictional Jesuses invented by various sects such as Islam and Mormons.

  • @CorrosionX3 Oh, I'm sorry. I really misinterpreted your comments. I assumed you were an atheist parodying a Christian mentality.

  • @CorrosionX3 you dummy, Mohammed recognized and Christ and honored Mother Mary too. His message was about brotherhood, but he was born into a dangerous, militant time of warring tribes. there were times when he and his Muslim brothers had to fight for their survival just like we are doing in the middle east. Koran is full of war as a symbol because that was a language the tribal man understood. Yes their is cruelty in the Koran, because cruel people took over Islam right from the start.

  • @downeybill Yep, Mohammed the cruel warlord took control of people with Islam right from the start. He himself was the founder of the most dangerous of all the militant warring tribes. Koran is full of war because it's a religion of war. The fact that Islam exists in the world is the reason mankind will never know peace. Until muslims realize the reason they are inferior is because of Islam, they will always be jealous and angry at everyone except themselves.

  • Can any of you leftist tell me of a Christian church that teaches people they will be in paradise by killing innocent people, including women and children?

  • "Christopher Hitchens is morally clear?"

  • I agree with most of what Prager says except for his criticism of Carvell calling him a religious nut and comparing him to christian religious nuts. I do think that if we were a poor christian country and there was a rich Islamic country on the other side of the globe many people in this country would be frustrated with the fact that non-christians are leading the world. I also think that some christians would use religion to justify violence against the islamic countries. Makes sense.

  • Chris Matthews is just stupid.

  • His faith was the motivating factor. Big deal. Should we find all the Muslims in America and fight a war against them?

Christian religion has nuts too, but it's an older religion. It has BECOME more civilized.

  • I know you mean well, but you haven't paid attention. No one suggested making war on every Muslim walking the earth. It goes without saying. Stop comparing radical muslims with 'christian nuts' because there is no modern comparison or moral equivalency. I've studied both faiths and it's shocking what people still don't understand about them. Place the blame on the guilty party; Stop making excuses, and call Hasan's evil what it is. Other muslims suffer because of terrorism too after all.

  • Militant islam is at war. You are confusing a set of theological beliefs with a militarist movement set on ruling the world through force.

  • And incidentally, militant islam was allied with nazi germany.

  • True. It is also running a slave trade currently in Darfur.

  • Tony: They are one and the same. What do you think Sharia law is based on? Both Islam the religion and the life of Muhammad, both prophet and military general. The Q'uran is explicit and non-negotiable to the radical Islamist. "Behead them [infidels] where you find them." Supersedes any previous peaceful scriptures. It's called abrogation.

  • Prager isn't saying that all Islam is condemned by the actions of Hasan. The issue is the Media's willingness to use loaded language to excuse the actions of Hasan. Pro-Life groups did not make excuses for Tiller's murderer, nor did the media try to soften the image of the Tiller murderer as they are with Hasan. Besides, there is no comparison between, Al Qaeda, Taliban, Bin Laden, etc. and their devotees, and any modern zealot the US has produced.

  • I don't think it's morally clear to condem all the people of one of the world's largest established religions based on the actions of deluded and pyschotic actions of some of it's members.

Dr. Tiller's executioner murdered him in the name of Christ the right wing refuses to label them domestic terrorists. Of course it's a movement 10 mins on the web confirms that.

  • @hollygolightly66 One abortion doctor being killed once per DECADE doesn't equate to a problem among Christians. To quib Prager: "It's only unclear to leftists."
