@Vesacek I've played close to 100 english VNs that I like better than F/SN. Of course, that's not very surprising since I hated F/SN (the storyline ideas were good, but I can't stand the writing style of the author... and in a game where you do nothing except read, that's a fatal flaw).
@Caelistas Is ever 17 good? I have it already but been to lazy to try it expecting that its extremely overated like Clannad and Fate/Stay. (Also Muv Luv Alternative is the best VN ever along with G-Senjou, and Sharin no Kuno)

@JakeramsPvP Ever17 was like the most popular ADV game ever made in japan, it used to be at the top of everyone's fav games lists and might still be, I haven't checked out the japanese community for years. They remade it for Xbox 360 very recently though so I'm guessing it's still very popular.
The english translation isn't very good, and there's one unforgivably badly translated part that spoils the entire game early on. The company that translated it went bankrupt many years ago.
@RareSmartPerson12 And yeah, it's very good IMO. It isn't "amazing" good until you've gotten the true ending though. 999 (DS, official translation) and Remember11 (PC, fantranslated) are by the same author as Ever17 and are also very good games with the same style.
Both of those also follow the same formula, they are just "great" until you reach the true ending, then they become "amazing".

I went in expecting a harem and stupid pandering plot, but I got a game of cat and mouse, that worked with a school setting and what seemed at first like cardboard girls. I even got a touch of philosophy in there, it truly just exceeded every expectation. Good game.
I just spent the last 3 days reading this Visual Novel. It was just goddamn great. I don't even think I can play another one since it won't even compare to G-Senjou no Maou and will just feel boring. I am really wishing that they eventually make an anime for this.

I played Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night, Chaos;Head and even Sharin no Kuni. And you know what? I still love G-Senjou no Maou the most. For the love of God, will probably remember this VN for the rest of my life!
@TheMrboomba If you think it's better than Death Note now, wait until you get to Haru's route. The other three don't even come close compared to the True Route. I highly recommend not choosing Mizuha or Kanon and just go straight to the final chapter. You won't regret it.

@TheMrboomba I think you should try the bad ends as well. Although they're horrible, they provide an insight of how Kyousuke would have been if he went down the dark side. The most detailed bad end was probably Mizuha's which is why it gave me rage fit...... The least detailed was probably Kanon.
To be honest, this is the best VN I've ever played. Everything, up to the character design, plot and music is just.. top notch. Can't say anything else 'bout it.

The reason I like Fate stay night so much is because it has 3 different routes(all are amazing) and they're all main/important. In games like Clannad and G senjou there is only 1 main route with the others as side.

First VN i have played at it was truly amazing. I JUST beat it like 5 minutes ago and it is a must try for people who loves an amazing story. The story nearly made me cry which is quite rare for me.
Truly ne of the best VN's I've played so far. Outstanding story, emotional, deep characters, and lots of dark and light philosophy embedded, as well as nice touches of humor and twists. As shameful as it is to admit, I came for the "artwork," but stayed for the brilliant plot and music.

I've played many visual novels, read many mangas, and watched many animes but I have to say... Haru's ending is one of the best endings I have ever seen. Haru's ending and the ending Code Geass are the only two endings I know will stick with me.
This was THE most mind-twisting VN's I have EVER played. Among being able to connect with the reader throughout each route, it established such an attention grabbing opportunity within each set of dialogue to keep you going. Brilliant plot, beautiful choice of music, outstanding set of twists, and an exceptional route for each character.
I just finished the Haru ending like a few seconds ago and im on the verge of tears. That was just purely amazing. Truly a amazing ending to a amazing VN. Must play material.

So i commented this a while back and finally I finished the game. The game itself was simply amazing to say the least. Normally an ending just ruins an entire story, but the ending was pulled off perfectly. This is surly not to disappoint anyone especially seeing that the last chapter is better than all the side heroine routes combined.
So the walk-through seems to put Haru's route last but does it matter which route I play through first? In Clannad, it's suggested to play Nagisa's route last and there was a reason for that so is it the same in this game? I always play the main heroine's route first and I prefer to keep it that way, especially since I often can't complete all heroine's route in VNs.
@TheGreatCandyman Well I suggest Haru first because this is the main story. I mean if you end the game before you'll miss a lot of things and never know things about maou and stuff. This is a thriler after all.

It does look like there are alot of fans pushing for it to be taken up by someone and made into anime. I think if i tis made into an anime they should follow the Haru route and make the other routes OVA's personally. But i totally agree it'd make an awesome anime.
this game is so badass... i mean seriously, every single solution to the mysteries the characters face can actually be seen prior to revealing them if you look carefully and think enough, but i doubt many people can do it. haru is such a genius XD
Do not install it into the default folder. Why? Its got a weird dot in the folder name that only Japanese system will load stuff from the folder properly(The dot is displayed properly in other locale, but only Japanese locale can run the game with it having a dot in the name)
Name the folder "G-Senjou no Maou" or "G-線上の魔王" will work(when its asking you where to install).

One of the best VN's ive played so far, really really good story. Haven't finished it yet (i'm almost there with Haru route :p)
Although Kyousuke seems to be "Maou" (headaches, characters that kinda recognize him as "Maou") i think there will be a big surprise at the end.
Either Kyousuke has a split personality and is aware/unaware of Maou personality, or someone else is Maou and the game misleds us on purpose :p Can't wait to find out.
That was one of the best Visual Novels I ever played! Seriously, the true ending with Haru, that epilogue twist, and the events that transpired in the final chapter, MAN everything was woven perfectly into a magnificent story! I highly recommend this game! Well worth the time!

Tsubaki's ending/chapter was disappointing for me...I still want to complete as much as I can for Haru's Ending so I'll deal with it. Currently on Chapter 3!
Kanon wasn't as "fulfilling" as Haru's, but it was better than Shiratori/Tsubaki. I didn't see much romance between the two though. The family rekindling was nice though
I hope this game will inspire people to watch animes more. I really think that people miss out on a lot, if you dont play this game.

First VN i have played at it was truly amazing. I JUST beat it like 5 minutes ago and it is a must try for people who loves an amazing story. The story nearly made me cry which is quite rare for me.

Truly ne of the best VN's I've played so far. Outstanding story, emotional, deep characters, and lots of dark and light philosophy embedded, as well as nice touches of humor and twists. As shameful as it is to admit, I came for the "artwork," but stayed for the brilliant plot and music.

I've played many visual novels, read many mangas, and watched many animes but I have to say... Haru's ending is one of the best endings I have ever seen. Haru's ending and the ending Code Geass are the only two endings I know will stick with me.

This was THE most mind-twisting VN's I have EVER played. Among being able to connect with the reader throughout each route, it established such an attention grabbing opportunity within each set of dialogue to keep you going. Brilliant plot, beautiful choice of music, outstanding set of twists, and an exceptional route for each character.

So i commented this a while back and finally I finished the game. The game itself was simply amazing to say the least. Normally an ending just ruins an entire story, but the ending was pulled off perfectly. This is surly not to disappoint anyone especially seeing that the last chapter is better than all the side heroine routes combined.

So the walk-through seems to put Haru's route last but does it matter which route I play through first? In Clannad, it's suggested to play Nagisa's route last and there was a reason for that so is it the same in this game? I always play the main heroine's route first and I prefer to keep it that way, especially since I often can't complete all heroine's route in VNs.

It does look like there are alot of fans pushing for it to be taken up by someone and made into anime. I think if i tis made into an anime they should follow the Haru route and make the other routes OVA's personally. But i totally agree it'd make an awesome anime.

this game is so badass... i mean seriously, every single solution to the mysteries the characters face can actually be seen prior to revealing them if you look carefully and think enough, but i doubt many people can do it. haru is such a genius XD

Do not install it into the default folder. Why? Its got a weird dot in the folder name that only Japanese system will load stuff from the folder properly(The dot is displayed properly in other locale, but only Japanese locale can run the game with it having a dot in the name)
Name the folder "G-Senjou no Maou" or "G-線上の魔王" will work(when its asking you where to install).

One of the best VN's ive played so far, really really good story. Haven't finished it yet (i'm almost there with Haru route :p)
Although Kyousuke seems to be "Maou" (headaches, characters that kinda recognize him as "Maou") i think there will be a big surprise at the end.
Either Kyousuke has a split personality and is aware/unaware of Maou personality, or someone else is Maou and the game misleds us on purpose :p Can't wait to find out.

That was one of the best Visual Novels I ever played! Seriously, the true ending with Haru, that epilogue twist, and the events that transpired in the final chapter, MAN everything was woven perfectly into a magnificent story! I highly recommend this game! Well worth the time!

Kanon wasn't as "fulfilling" as Haru's, but it was better than Shiratori/Tsubaki. I didn't see much romance between the two though. The family rekindling was nice though
