Islam came about 500 years after Christianity and what the west went through in the middle ages is happening to Moslems around the world now. What inquisition did in Spain is happening in the name of Islam in Iran. Ummm... no. Well, sort of. All fetuses start out 'female' until the proper hormones kick in. But the genome is determined from conception, basically. There's a rare condition somewhere, where lots of girls are born... but then at puberty lots of girls turn into boys, because of something genetic due to inbreeding.
