Don't get me wrong I like Weezer, but unfortunately they haven't put out an album as good or equal to the blue album and after 16 years its safe to say that is and always will be their best work.

I think the reason people went back and changed their opinion on this album was because it followed Weezer's best album and it stayed in the shadow of the blue album for years. Then once people saw the sub par music being released from Weezer from about 2002 and on they went back and realized it was actually a decent album. it just took a few not so good albums to follow it until the masses realized it.

@CMB3864 tbh i liked this album better than the blue album. its hard to decide because theyre both amazing. but pinkerton sounds great listening from beginning to end. the album flows beautifully and just sounds so raw and emotional.

i think it did poorly because people liked the up-beat happy songs on TBA and pinkerton showed a more deep and vulnerable side of weezer.

the other albums just dont match their first two. good songs here and there, but nothing this spectacular.

Weezer made freaking the best alternative album (Blue) and a masterpiece (Pinkerton) to making horrible to mediocre albums.
