  • that is weird

  • essas rãs são feias demais

  • I have one of these in my tank with some tetras :)

  • WOW! how do you feed them!

  • I have 2african dwarf frogs and they are funnier than urs

  • i got some too!!! i love them!!! soooo cute :D

  • How do you keep their water heated?

  • I have frogs to yours are very cute :)

  • Check out my Goliath frog and follow & subscribe !!!

  • will the african dwarf frog do well in a 2 gallon fish tank with 1 cory catfish and 2 black kuhli loaches??

  • @chickenzrck im no expert but that cory im pretty sure should be in atleast a ten gallon tank so im goanna say no...maybe if you had a bigger tank...there really shy and probably wouldnt be able to get their share of food...damn fishes

  • @chickenzrck The basic rule is one frog per gallon :)

  • I saw some tiny feeder frogs at a pet store the other day. Are those dwarf frogs?

  • @herp45 negitave

  • these frogs act like some youtube videos.. play :[)!! *buffering* >:I!!!

  • i named mine lilly and pad there so cute! and really easy to care for too.

  • Cute

  • watch the first 40 seconds and think of a game of musical chairs lol

  • where can u get the bloodworms? at petco or petsmart??

  • I love these guys! They're so cute! <3 I have two that I got about two weeks ago and I love them so much! :)

  • Isn't that gravel rough on their stomachs,I have read to keep them on a smooth surface, they can get skin breaks and infection on roguh surfaces.

  • @PuganPoo not necessarily.. the only issue is that they can sometimes eat the gravel if it's small enough. These guys are cute, but they aren't the brightest.

  • sorry i meant frozen blood worms in my freezer not freeze dried

  • I have a question. I have a betta fish in a 2 gal but i have an old 1 gal tank that I want to use for something and I was wondering if keeping one ADF in it would be okay? i want to use the old tank and my mom wont let me get another betta. I already have freeze dried bloodworms i could use and a tank though i would buy new gravel. I dont want to buy a new tank though and I really like frogs. We had two in our science class! :)

  • i got mine today :D

  • I miss my african dwarf frogs

  • Thumbs up if you think african dwarf frogs are cute! :D

  • @stellastar7899 Aha I bought 2 of them yesterday :D they're awesome

  • How do you get your bloodworms to sink? Mine are freeze dried and float...and the fish love 'em so they get 'em before my frogs

  • Quick question...how big do these fellas get? Ive read 6cm but yours seem alot bigger...and are they compatible with smaller fish like rasboras and lemon tetras?

  • if i got some African Dwarf Frogs will they eat my little fish!

  • @xman21196 Most little fish are too quick for them to catch.. but there's a chance they could catch a straggler or two, yes. I've had 4 frogs in a tank of endlers for over a year, and only 1 endler has ever been eaten (and that endler was still only partially grown).

  • @xman21196 yes they will eat anything they can fit in there mouth

  • I love African dwarf frogs, they're so dorky!

  • R they all adf. The color looks different. I hve one but its very dark sandy color

  • look at them and there frog orgy

  • goed filmpje en leuke kikkers!

  • do they always get on top of each other cause mine do that and there both males

  • Are these extinct in the wild? I only hear of them as pets.

  • Best pets ever!

  • I keep mine in lik a gallon fish bowl

  • @amazingorigamiii holy fuck get atlest a 5 gallon. There gonna jump out and its not enough pace! trust me one frog died on me by jumping out :(

  • @superphil92 I moved em into something a little bigger. He's too small to jump out. One died on random recently.... toads are sooo much easier to take care of.... LOLZ

  • @amazingorigamiii He probably died because underfeeding or cold water.

  • They do well when fed every other day. I have 2 in a community aquarium and feed them separately from the fish. They are much more humorous to watch as opposed to the fish.

  • how many worms should I feed my frog and how often, I was feeding every day but 1 of my frogs ate too much got too fat and died :( he was too smart I would feed him with 12" long tweesers and after he would swim to the top and get all the worms he would miss or the other frog mist, so he was getting a good 4 worms from me but then probly rusel up another 6 that the other frog would miss, so any ways how much bloodworms and how often?

  • Just got mine yesterday and he is awesome

  • I have a question How many blood worms can u feed 1 frog and can they be out of water?

  • @RojasChiller

How many, I don't know. But they can't be out of water. They're aquatic frogs.

  • @RojasChiller they cant get out of the water

  • cute

  • how do i get my frogs to eat them they dont go for it lol

    ??

  • @georgeandisaac try live bloodworms, they canstay in the tank untill they are eaten and your frogs are bound to stumble across them at some point.

  • @meagain499 thankyou verymuch

  • Omg those look just like the frogs i have

  • Do these guys swim around much? i just got 2 yesterday from the pet store and they barely move.. are they in shock from being moved? im a bit worried

  • @DancinFool55 Na they just float in water most of the time but they do swim

  • That is a really cool tank, Nice Frogs!! :D

  • Can I have them with neon tetras and can I feed them sinking pellets

  • Nice tank with nice little animals, I would like to have 1 or 2 of them to, But I dont know if my tank is well suited, can someone please watch my vid where I show my tank and give me some advise, I will highly appreciate that, thanks a lot .

    watch?v=sLsBDBqkPag

  • do those frogs need any land so they can breath i am only familiar with aussie frogs

  • the one on the top has a HUGE nose. the ugly lil' fucka!

  • Their big! :D

  • Wow, very pale frogs. Mine is so much darker. What is that grass plant in the foreground?

  • @psilokan could be the color of the substrate or he got no backprop behind the tank so it just shows the wall which could also effect the skin tone of tank inhabitants

  • Those are beautiful dwarf frogs, i'm being 2 more to give my new frog some companions. How often do you feed them?

  • that is the cutest!

  • 1:58 nieźle przywaliła:P

  • there cute

  • The temperature of the water can change the colors too.

  • Lol, your frogs are so white... Mine are quite a bit darker, but one of the males turns lighter when he's randy at night. :D

  • They are cute I just got 2 today!

  • very cool to see them interacting, ive had only 1 in my tank for awhile but i think its about time i get him/her a friend. are pairs good or is it better to have 3?

  • @Starr1x I've heard you need at least two because they get lonely.

  • OMG there so cute :DD

I'm gonna get some and put them in about a ten gallon tank with some goldfish, is that ok?

  • @whtvrgirl8 no, i would not keep these frogs with goldfish. Goldfish are coldwater and do not need a heater while these little guys do. Besides this, it would be very hard feeding your frogs in a tank with goldfish because because of the appitite difference(goldfish will eat much more much quicker). Aswell it is possible for an adult goldfish to eat an african dwarf frog. hopwe this helped.

  • @whtvrgirl8 Nope. Not a good idea. Goldfish should only be kept with other goldfish. They are a nasty dirty fish that produces a ton of waste.

  • @whtvrgirl8 Yes, should be fine....but I currently have mine in a 55 gallon tank with all different kinds of fish who were eating my frogs bloodworms so I will be moving the frogs to a 5 gallon tank..make sure your frogs are getting their food and not just the goldfish

  • when i got my little frogs at the pet store they didn't tell me i had to feed it the blood worms. they gave me little ity bity pellets. probably for turtle. do your frogies breed?

  • hey i was wonderin can those frogs be in a tank with fish

  • @ristancarl78 you can, but the non agressive ones. Just keep in mind that fish will eat all of the food before the frogs even realize there is food in the tank. There are ways to make sure that they are fed in a tank with fish, but you must be willing to make the effort.

  • @Reneezombii thanks also can they breath above water

  • @ristancarl78 They have lungs not gills, so they have to swim to the surface to get air. You can get a floating plant or an island coverd in moss and they may want to get out of the water once in a while, but they cant stay out for too long or they will dry out.

  • When I feed them I usualy feed with with a pipette, so mine get spoiled & if you put worms in, they don't eat them, they just look at me & wave trying to get me to get the pipette to feed them like babies lol. Sometimes they can eat them on the ground, but they only eat the ones that move. Can they only sence movement? They love them live cause of this, heh.

  • Aww, I love these froggies! They get really active at meal time & nip each other to get worms xD I only have 2, but would be more going on with more.

  • How big is your tank??

  • i am going to have huge frogs look up pics its african frog :)

  • my frog barely moves :/ it lives with fish. and can fish eat bloodworms?

  • @Foopics yeah, fish can eat bloodworms.

  • I have some of theese frogs and been wondering why do they make sudden movements pause and then move again?

  • @aroundthwo23d well, I have some and they do that too. don't worry, it's just what they do!

  • can they live with red eared slider turtles i have 2 about 1 inch long

  • @OMGgirl1001 I have 4 of these frogs 3 of them are large and 1 is rather small..

I was told that the females grow larger then the males.. Ive have had my frogs for about a year .. and they are all still alive.. if your concerned about it then take the larger one out of the tank and put him into a glass (with water of course) and allow the smaller one to eat its food.

  • hey gmann21193,what kind of bloodworms are those?

  • @OMGgirl1001 maybe try hand feeding him with some tweezers i had two and i di that and he did eat from the tweezers :) hope this helps

  • Do the frogs need any special accessories for the tank?

  • @OMGgirl1001 feed the frogs more food the big ones will get full and leave food for the smaller one

  • i have one

  • i luv these things. im gettin bout 5 of them

  • I just bought 2 frogs today. They are too cute. Made a cave out of big rocks form them to hide in.

  • Orgy

  • how much do they grow?

  • there is another underwater frog commonly seen in pet stores i think called the albino underwater frog or something like that. those get fairly large. these guys though (african dwarf frogs) don't getmuch larger than a few inches (with their legs all the way stretched). so they are a very small species.

  • @CatFish366 3.8cm max.

  • @CatFish366 They usually stay from around 1.5 to 2".However, they can grow to be 3" long.A 1.5 gallon-2 gallon tank will usually supplement two of them with enough space; one could do good with 1 gallon tank but you should get two.

  • booty ho!!!

  • 100% certain they are ADFs, at 1:20, you can see they have webbed front 'hands'. ;)

  • @jakeelvin123 they also have eyes on the sides and a pointy nose.

  • do you absulutely need a heater

  • @gavinrocks101 No, if the tank isn't too big it can be kept warm enough with a tank light. Mine is 5 gallons and the light keeps the water at about 80 degrees.

  • well i just put an ADF in there with 2 crabs... dumb idea lol ... u kidna already know what happined

  • thats an african clawed frog which can get upto a foot gib lol ur in for a suprise (i know cause it has webbed feet)

  • Looks like ADFs to me. It's hard to get a clear view of the feet, which seem webbed (ACFs don't have this), but their eyes are another give away-ADFs have eyes on the sides, ACFs have them on top. I could be wrong though, so feel free to point it out if am.

  • MY FROG ADF DIED!:[

  • @mikey2kus Aww. Sorry :(

  • haha the one on top is like, "bleh, im full"

  • Your Adf's were so funny when they were on top of each other

  • my mammaw got me two from smart toys and books. they r both male and i named them ej and stephanoe

  • ermm forzen bloodworm is dead??

  • i got mine from the mall they are so cute i named them Edge and rocky. i have 2 thye are both males

  • they sell those at hallmark now

  • and brookstone

  • dont u mean hallmart

  • nice !!!! :D

  • Ah african dwarf frogs... theyre just so much fun to have as pets. i named mine gizmo and algernon XD

  • i have a small tank im guessing 2-5 gallon ive added some very small plants its long not tall so would two of these guys fit in it (its a large lees critter keeper) i think its most likely 3 gallons soo yea o and it has a large log thing that the can hide in that takes up about 75% of the tank soo yea would the fit?

  • na they need more room to swim than hide

  • All of my frogs that i fed frozen blood worms, ended up with dropsy. Now, i hand feed them freeze-dried bloodworms, and hand feed them frog bites and ever since i did that, thank Goodness, non of them ended up mysteriously dying on me. Your frogs are adorable!

  • they look cool

  • Would these do well with African Cichlids?

  • no, i had african cichlids and they would shred those frogs. we asked at pruses pet store about putting frogs in there and they said it would be a waste of our money but a good meal for the fish.

  • it depins the size of them

  • where the hell did you get these guys? i have 3 albino ones, they were the only kind i could find!

  • Albinos are very likely African CLAWED frogs, not dwarf frogs! These grow to be MUCH bigger! Make sure you look up the difference online, unlike ADFs, ACFs will eat other fish in the same tank!

  • you can get them at petco

  • I'm probably gonna get 2 afrcan dwarf frogs and I wonder if your only gonna keep african dwarf frogs in the tank,no fish or something else,do you need a filter then if you just change the water once a week, cause' they breathe air right?

  • no they don't breathe air. Yes you need a filter, no matter how often you clean their water, because they breathe through their skin. You don't want them breathing dirty water!

they come up every once in a while for a gulp of air, but other than that, they are purely aquatic.

Suitable tankmates would include, non aggressive bettas, depends on the individual betta.

Guppies, mollies, platy's.... and other similar fish.

you also need a heater, their water should be kept around 78-82 degrees.

  • they do breathe air. they come to the top of the water and swim back down

  • Comment removed

  • i have three of theses lil guys/gals

  • I have 4 of these in a 5 gallon tank.

  • The three stooges. :)

  • I was horrified to learn not only that Brookstone is selling live animals in tiny boxes but also that store employees have apparently been instructed to put sick and dying animals out of sight of customers, instead of seeking desperately needed veterinary attention for languishing frogs and snails.

  • i have 3 africandwarffrogs and there kinda small i bought them at big als what fish could i put with them?

  • bettas go good with african dwarf frogs< so do live bearers, and tetras

  • i have 2 of these frogs and i put 5 tetras and 6 bumblebee fish with them they never fight or get aggressive with eachother

  • dont the frogs eat them? what type of fish will the frog eat?

    thanks :-)

  • nothing big enoff to eat them

  • nice

  • that is like my to frogs

  • i have two little girls all i need is a male does any one wanna sell theirs? they are soo cute .

  • go to brookstone they sell them now!!! i got 2!!

  • Fat and adorable. =)

  • its a VERY small plastic tank ...small pebbles on the bottem bout a inch thick ...no filter or anything ...feel bad for them ....

  • few questions ... baught a few of these guys from Brookstone...2 of them in a small tank ...says u only change the water 1once every year ?? came with a little bamboo plant but its not growing ...can i put any other plants in there??? so they have places to hide and stuff??

  • question:would a baby res turtle eat a african dwarf frog, and are african dwarf frogs slow or fast

  • question : can i put one of these in a 47 gallon tank with mollies? would they disrupt the fish or visa versa ?? and how big do they grow ? p.s beutiful animals :)

  • they grow 1 1/2 inches but i wouldnt recommend it there need 5 gallon each but they will be fine in there :)

  • thank you :)

  • Wow...it's great that people are so caring towards such small creatures...thanks guys =D I'm planning on getting a couple of these cute little critters and as i already have a tank...I wouldn't be buying one FOR them but putting them in a present setup. Is it ok to have a couple in a 5 gallon tank? Everything I've read has said that 1 gallon per frog is good and five for 3...can I have some pet keeper confirmation...thanks

    x

  • yeah u can have a couple in like 2 gallons. but if u have other fish in there, then they feel to crowded. if they come in a seperate tank i say leave them in there.

  • im getting African Dwarf Frogs today!!!!! :] i canntt waiiittt.!

  • yea i got one of those ecosystem things to but i moved myn as fast i could so now my frogs and the little snail are happily in there new home :)

  • Should i get one? i love animals! help please!

  • I just got one of those ecosystems too a few days ago and today i bought a new 10 gallon tank to move them into. lol.cantwait to see how they like it :)

  • i just got an african dwarf frog today along with 4 small tropical fish and i havent seen my frog swim around except when they got it out of the tank at petsmart its lazy lol

  • lol i have African dwarf frog and 4 gold fish and a blood red parrot lol they friendly they lived and still living for atleast 3 years red parrot arnt aggresive u pricks atleast mine isnt

  • I just got two new ADF's today, and in the ecosystem It has a bamboo and rocks called "Living Gravel " Supposibly the "Living Gravel " is supposed to "Eat" The frogs waste, but who knows!

  • lol i got tht too. but sadly one died

  • they have a 30 days free replacement policy

  • Is it the one from Brookstone? If so the snail eats the waste and the bamboo helps with that too, I think the gravel just filters the waste to the bottom. I've had the "frog-o-sphere" from Brookstone for a few weeks and the water still looks crystal clear, frogs seem happy too.
