  • I might be buying a 1985 Celebrity, only its the Eurosport so it has more options. But I did notice it has the same radio, only its AM/FM... but i think its crazy how its a non-digital radio so you have to turn the knobs to change the station... my how technology has changed in 26 years.

  • @xScoobyDoo82x the Eurosport is a nice car..haha the radio..AM was great in its day..not that many good stations to listen too anymore! I loved my '87 had it for 16yrs..didn't owe me a nickel! lol

  • @AreWildZ28 Yeah I hope I can afford this one. It only has 57,000 miles on it, it was a little old ladies car. So its in very good shape.

  • @xScoobyDoo82x that sounds good with that kind of mileage! I'd look into it.. :)

  • @xScoobyDoo82x

Honestly, I find the tuning knobs on 80s Delco radios are much easier to use than the buttons on newer radios. I can find stations quicker and more easily than with any newer radio I've used.

It is digital though. It clicks as you turn it, each click is 10Hz (or whatever the scale is).

GM had a high-end tape deck in their lineup at this time with all-pushbuttons on it. It came with my 86 Pontiac. It looks more modern but it's more annoying to use than the knob versions.

  • That car's cool. I just like the looks of the dashboard, too. :)

  • @minaprower13 I just rode in it yesterday..son drives it to college..

  • i have one of thoes but it in bearasing to use it

  • i still dream about my 86 celebrity. I put it in the demo derby this past fall... ever since i've felt like i've been cheating on it by driving my bonneville

  • Uh..oh..demo derby? A few yrs ago, I saw a Pontiac 6000 in a demo..lol

  • I miss my '87 Tech 4. It just went and went and went until about two years ago when the body, suspension and wheel bearings wore out around a still-perfect engine and transmission. Yours has the same color interior as mine--really nostalgic!

  • I had an '87 w/the tech 4 also..really loved the car! Had it for 16 yrs..same happened to mine..but the motor was replaced & it only cost $25 to fix in 1997..you're right its nostalgic! :)

  • My neighbor gave me a '90 Celebrity Wagon a few days ago, since she could no longer drive it due to her age. Its got the 3.1 L V6, and only has 53,000 miles with the AM/FM radio and a 3rd seat. The thing runs so smooth that I thought I was riding in a cadillac.

  • I believe you too! I almost had a wagon at an auction many yrs ago..but kept being out bid! lol Why don't you make a vid? I'd like to see this.. :)

  • Lol. I'll work on getting a video up.

  • Thanks & Merry Christmas to you!

  • beautifult

  • I have a 89 celebrity and its really reliable never had any major problems. i got it 4 years ago with 87,000 miles on it. i have a am fm radio though

  • I have to say..you have good taste! My old '87 2.5 litre(iron duke) was a great car that had am/fm too..wish this one had a 2.5..if you see my new vid...the '86 spun a bearing.. :(

  • Yeah the only thing it needs now is a new muffler because it is a little loud. It was a steal for 400 dollars and has outlasted some of our nicer cars.

  • Get a cherry bomb too! J/K My '87 outlasted many other ppls. cars too..this darn '86 is giving us a little trouble..not fond of it having a carburetor also..lol

  • vary nice i gota 1985 celebrity eurosport 2.8 multi port F.I it runs like ita brand new got alot power but alota little things is wrong with it like a/c and dashbored lights other than that its nice...yours looks like it in vary good condition.

  • Thanks, but guess what? The water pump took a SH*T tonight! Last week, it won an award @ a local Chevy dealer..cause it was bought from that dealer & we have all the paper work..& the trunk, interior, & engine are in exellent great condition..but things happen..I always like the Euromodel..I did get to drive the wagon @ Davesfarm..I used to have an '87 tech 4..great car... :) This car was only $500.00..couldn't pass it up! lol

  • yeah that,s a carb'd 2.8 alright, I just saw another video of it. I too used to have an 86 carbed 2.8, but mine had the 4 speed automatic.

  • Thats interesting! Thanks for viewing..that car runs & drives like brand new..it was an unbelievable find..in this area..

  • Please take care of it!

  • Oh, we do..its a great little car..

  • No thats not carburated that is fuel injection thats why it started easy......

  • Fuel injection was an option on the Eurosport that year...this has a carb!! I'll show you someday!!!

  • if it was fuel injected ,why did she pump the gas pedal....Huh? ITS CARBURETED!

  • Carburated

  • Hey Roxy this week in Alberta Canada it was nearly 50 deg for a wild there.

It's strange... Canadian weather.especially in Alberta

Why is it so cold down there?...

  • Yeah.......what is going on? I can't believe in Alberta its 50 degrees and here its so DAMN cold! You must be getting all that Pacific air.....well at least its 46 right now and its 10:30 EST! A HEAT WAVE!!!!!

  • crank it up!!!

  • I remember my late aunt's Chevy Celebrity in Philadelphia. A 4-cylinder with air conditioning. My Aunt was deaf in one ear, but the car had such a beautiful AM/FM stereo in it. It was quite peppy too in the engine department, did quite well on gasoline too!

  • My old one was a Tech 4....that was a great car!!!

  • The only thing that may give any sort of concern on the Tech-4 was the fiber timing gear on the camshaft, it could get a little rattly, but not until many miles!

  • Yup....yur right......that car sounded like a diesel! lol

  • You are so right they do, but it still went forever I bet.

  • I wish this one would of been an '87 instead and a tech 4 but.....for $500 bucks...beggers can't be choosers!!!! LOL

  • Ah Roxy...That is a lovely old car!!

    Looks in beautiful condition too!!

People keep moaning about cars with carbs....Two of mine have carbs and they always start on the button in ANY conditions!!

You have a can of Magic Tree 'New Car Sent'....I have the 'Black Ice' one in George and the Vanilla one in Norma...haha!!!

    Love your videos!!! :)

  • Hey....Jon...I can't believe you noticed that can of spray!!! Thanks....for the great compliment on the car...it seems ppl. think cause they have a carb. that when its cold they won't start....I never seem to have that trouble.....I'm mad now cause my power lock on the drivers side of my Z won't open with the key......I think I'll try tomorrow and see what happens! Its always something lately.....oh, well! I only paid .99 for that sent BTW!

  • haha AM only?

My radio station comes in AM. 1530AM bug country.

  • I had a '86 wagon it was a good car until Some putz ran into Me while He was on the cell phone then I got the ticket because I didn't have ins His company sued Me for $1100 they took My license & I got them to sign off so I could get My D.L. back for a hundred bucks a year later and everybody lived happily ever after Hahaha Oh
