I dont like the videos of today with superman in them...originally he was jus so much stronger...he only lost 1 fight to captain M. out of many fights in the comics
Why does every video this end after Captain Marvel gets back up, does he just overpower Batman off-screen, not that I could picture Batman beating him.
Hawkman's big on duty. Luthor was the President at the time, and gave him an order. He followed it. Only Superman was so mistrusting of Luthor that he was willing to go rogue and openly defy him. Batman was kind of dragged into it along the way.
There was a more visable divide in the comics between pro and anti Luthor heroes, but most of that was cut for time, or to keep the focus on the main characters.

Superman can hear Batman from distance because of his super-hearing, but still has to communicate with him, the device being both for hearing AND talking. Bats likewise has to talk and listen to Supes if they get seperated, as they were in this scene.

One of the things that Superman does not deal with well and Superman is mortal. He does have all these powers but he will die of old age and can be killed (not easy to do but he can be).
Yes his tagline is "the world mightiest mortal" but that also applies to Superman. The definition of mortal is: Liable or subject to death. It's hard to kill them both but it can be done.

Supes was holding back, are you serious, supes got his ass kicked as did bats. he used heat vision and that didnt do squat to Captain marvel, FACE IT SUPES GOT BEAT DOWN. and knocked backwards silly and needed PG to help them.
Batman always comes prepared. That was probably no ordinary missle, but one designed to take out even super-powered beings. Marvel was about to get slammed against the mountain from the Supes' heave. Bats' weapon just added to that and Cap wasn't expecting it.

Of course, Batman comes to the rescue, defeats the alien group, and saves the Justice League.

i'm a lame noob huh ..but i know captain marvel gets killed by a "man made" nuclear bomb in Kingdome Come .while superman survives the blast untouched and he wasnt teleported away or under green lanterns force field for protection ..the worlds mightiest mortal is not on the man of steels level when it comes to invulnerability hahaha

@fashizze no matter what happens on earth super man is invincible.even if there was a more powerful being than him(goku and vegeta)he would not die on that planet.any other planet he would die on.but not earth.watch superman doomsday.you will find out.

@fashizze Marvel was at ground zero, Superman was far below. We also don't know he was "untouched" since there's no reference frame for time. He could have been there for hours recovering.
Besides, by that time, he was "at the height of his invulnerability" from years under a yellow sun, so anything is possible. In the end, it all comes down to the writing.

Superman and Captain Marvel are have very simlar powers ecept that Superman has heatvision and vision powers. The one thing is Captain Marvel's body is a product of pure magic. One of the things that Superman does not deal with well and Superman is mortal. He does have all these powers but he will die of old age and can be killed (not easy to do but he can be).

Yes his tagline is "the world mightiest mortal" but that also applies to Superman. The definition of mortal is: Liable or subject to death. It's hard to kill them both but it can be done.

@tmorri603 yes it does apply to superman too,the fact is that captain marvel' alter egos both billy and freddy(the current one) are vulnerable when not using shazams powers..thus giving them their titles......and other than kingdom come its noted that superman ages way more slowly than the others

I am glade that someone understands. Dying of old age does not take away the greatness of a hero. That why I loved Batman Beyond so much. Seeing Bruce deal with being old and being a mentor made the series one of the best in the
90's.

I agree that Captain Marvel is not Superman's complete equal. Strenght they are in the same league but not others. If that blast was inhanced by kryptonite, they both would be dead.

ahhh!!...but that bomb was designed to kill even Metahumans..,hence why those metahuman that weren`t under green lantern force field*save superman*were killed...in supermans case it was explained that in his selfexile he absorbed so much sunlight that it put his invulerability so high that even kryptonite would no longer have any effect,which is also why the bomb blast didn`t harm him*that and DC will always have it that he is stronger than Captain Marvel*

i hated the animation style from the jlu i like this animation style better at least there body parts is finally done right and they show ripped muscle and cap marvel is holding back as well......great fight battle

I am a real big fan of superman but i like captain marvel to.Captain marvel hit supes pretty hard.But supes is not about to let captain marvel turn him into a punching bag.Supes hits cap with heat vission and it hurt cap.Didn't stop him thou captain held his own.Rember captain is still a kid supes has experance on his side.And i think supes was holding back a little.Because at the end of the day supes knows captain marvel is one of the good guys.The same goes for batman and hawkman.

I really don't think that voice fits captain marvel at all.
On another note LOVING that wing animation on Hawkman seriously though overall I prefer the Animation style used in JLU over this one I much prefer Hawkman in this style cept for the helm as its less detailed in this.

Batman always comes prepared. That was probably no ordinary missle, but one designed to take out even super-powered beings. Marvel was about to get slammed against the mountain from the Supes' heave. Bats' weapon just added to that and Cap wasn't expecting it.
Superman was the one who said his bestfriend was "the most dangerous man alive." Talk about respect.

Superman didn't say it on JLU. He said it in a Justice League comic years ago. The story is that an alien group captures all members of JLU except for Batman because the aliens think Batman poses no threat because he's a pure human. Superman replies to the aliens that Batman might not have superpowers, but he is "the most dangerous man alive." Of course, Batman comes to the rescue, defeats the alien group, and saves the Justice League.
