  • Holy rockamole

  • 0:15 WTF!

  • its horibale lets leave it at that

  • How come it doesn't work for some videos?

  • Wow ! Amazing !

  • Finally, a video that actually worked with these damn Pulfrich glasses!

  • This was demonstrated on the UK show "Bang goes the Theory" - but I had no broken sunglasses with which to view the effect. Then a couple of weeks ago, i found a pair of sunglasses with the left lens missing. The lens is not that dark but the effect is noticeable. I turned the glasses upside down so the lens was over my left eye. Very interesting effect from normal video. Your explanation of the light lag was given in BGTT - spot on! Thank you.

  • That's AMAZING! :D

  • Squeeze your Left eye

    3D

  • You don't even need a sunglass, just squeeze your left eye (kinda like Popeye).

  • you can do this by slightly closing your left eye!!!!It works for me!!!

  • It gets even better if you back up from your screen a bit.

I am glad everyone likes this one so much!

  • You have to wear a pair of dark sunglasses, till them so from the one eye you see through the glass and from the other not!!!!not all videos work, but this one does!

  • This was at the NC State Fair in Raleigh

  • Is this in Asheville?

  • it work really good.

it seems a film projected using real-D tecnologies !!!

    wow, really funny video !

  • BTW, ordinary red/cyan 3D glasses WILL work for this video, because red is darker than cyan. But it works even better if you use just the red on the left eye and keep the right eye clear. Dark images take longer for your brain to process, so the dark eye will see objects where they were before, at the same time as the light eye sees objects where they are now. The motion from right to left will appear in front of the screen, and the motion from left to right will appear behind the screen.

  • btw: is it pronounced like Pulll-frick or Pull-fritch?

  • Pulfrich was a genius when he discovered this.

  • wow that's crazy!

  • i went on that it was so scary

  • Great 3D! One tiny drawback; the moving shadows on the centre column get "pulfriched" and appear farther forward than the stationary column. Sigh, you can't win everything.

  • this video rocks!

  • AWESOME

  • Haha, neat. You can also (like a commentor below said) squint one eye to get teh same effect.

  • How did you made this effect? Please answer me :)

  • @PowerTurkish est grammar ever

  • @killsalot78 Did I said that I was a ENGLISH GUY? You can see it in my name that I'm not ENGLISH idiot.

  • @PowerTurkish hhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahaa

  • @PowerTurkish Hi there, did you ever get a civil answer to your question?

  • wordked perfectly! o/

  • Hahahahahahahahahah !!! Damn it works for me. fellas u dont have to use glasses.. just clos one eye a bit, so the pictures in the eye becomes darker...

  • One of the few Youtube Pulfrich Effect 3D vids that works for me- thanks. May give it a go myself;-0

  • omg wroked

  • ...Wow. I just learn something totally awesome and so nifty. Thanks man!

  • That was so cool!

  • Those instructions make no sense at all.

  • Hmmm, nobody else has a problem. Click the "more info" button to see the rest of the instructions. The instructions go on to explain viewing of ALL Pulfrich effect videos, not just this one. Good Luck!

  • Just badly explained. Another video says "Wear sunglasses over your right eye only and keep both eyes open." That's all that was needed :-)

  • @photophile The thing is you'll need a slightly darker image on one eye ..This is why he says turn them sideways.you can also do this with anything over one eye and nothing on the eye .For ex. one eye gets a dark lens while the other is naked

  • this is the only video where the pulfrich effet does work 4 me!

  • i didn't see a thing change, now i'm very curious ¬¬

  • You dont even need a lense, it 's allready workin when you nictate!

  • Except that us normal mammals don't have a nictating membrane...

  • I did like u told... BUT.... WTH change? Don´t see any effect. Really... the only effect is ur video make me feel like a dumb. Poor idea

  • cover your left eye with the dark lense

  • @moose4computers Nonono, this is not about polarization, that would make no sense in this context since your computer can't emit polarized light!

  • Actually, if you have a laptop, your computer doesn't emit anything but polarized light. Put on some polarized glasses and tilt your head sideways while you look at the screen and you'll see what I mean. But the Pulfrich effect has nothing to do with that.

  • omfg!

    amazing

  • i dont see

  • pretty fuckin cool

  • I had it on my right eye first, then read the description... But otherwise Amazing!

  • holy shit this is amazing!! You don't even need sunglasses just squint your left eye.

  • my eyes can't co-operate. so i'm not sure I even can see 3d like this. I allways see with one eye eventhough both are open...

  • O...MY... GOD... Took a few seconds before i figured it out, but it really is amazing!!

  • well as i am very very right eye dominant normal 3D doesn't work let alone this kind so well, its not fool proof...

  • lol :)

Spreading your fingers before your left eye works a bit too.

  • amazing!!

  • It also works if you half close one eye, almost as if you are looking through your eye lash. Great effect!

    (I didn't have any sunglasses handy :)

  • why it doesn't seem to me 3D ?

  • because you're not standing on one foot with a hand raised in the air duh :P

  • wtf?

  • lol but of course

  • Wtf how it works...??

  • Your brain interprets the light lag between the left and right eyes as a perception of depth.

Try putting the glasses over the other eye. The people in the back will get the Pulfrich Effect, just not as cool.

  • The good thing about the Pulfrich 3D method is it can work with any moving video image- tv shows, films, anything- but the image MUST be moving left to right or right to left to get an effect. Therefore, you tend to get good 3D effects in films when an action sequence is taking place and the camera is moving. Go on- put your tv on and see what you can find for good 3D- even some tv adverts can be good so long as its a moving camera.

  • Amazing, better than the red and cyan 3d the things match perfectly.

    :D

  • OMG

  • Perfect! Why can't they use this method for home video releases. Coraline and Journey to the Center of the Earth uses the crappy colored glasses. This method is so perfect, I'm surprised it's not used more.

  • this method need a constantly mooving of camera or objects... maybe this is reason

  • crazy shit xD

  • the best one.but when you stop the video it doesn't work anymore.

  • Awesome!

  • Wow! one of the best examples of this effect I have seen to date. Thanks!

  • OMFG!!! this is so coool!!!...

  • DAMN That is craaazy!

  • amazing.

Pulfrich had only one working eye.

    and that is something.....

  • wow cool

it worked better for me when i moved away from the screen
