I don't see that the woman in bed at the end of the song is necessarily dead, she could have just fallen asleep after sex - or the bed & woman could just be a "tableau" depicting the pretty noose that Cornell is snared by -- though of course STP was doing songs about dogs (bloodhounds?) smelling his girlfriend ('s body?), and burning alive some chick's wicked garden - was that the ethos of alt, blaming everything on the chick?

I dunno its pretty corny at some parts (although overall its a cool vid), maybe the band didn't want to be associated with it. Also there seems to be implied themes of murder and heroin use.

edit: drug use instead of heroin use in specific I guess. Also drunk driving. I don't know for sure to be honest but it is a good deal darker than most of the crap I've seen on the MTV's.
