@KnighTeh HaloWarsFreak has it right. It's so they can hear the music they're playing along with. The drums are very loud, so it's hard to hear the music unless it's very loud, or on headphones.

It's also to protect your ears. If you have headphones that isolate the sound from the outside, you don't need to have the music so loud to hear it, that way you're not always blasting your ears.

Being a drummer can kill your hearing unless you're careful.

Sounds Great! Well done, only thing I could recommend is - doing something to your floor tom to get more articulation in your rhythm. e.g. Using something to dampen it. But this remix would sound great arranged into/or with a percussion section and would also solve the floor tom issue.

woooooow, so, i guess no one really read what i wrote. First off, i said they SOUND like B8's. Obviously they're not. You can see a K custom in there. As well as his HHX high hats. Probably 13'. The ride he has on the left looks like a Constantinople. So duh, they're not B8's but the way they sound on here isnt too great. I didnt say he sucked at all. He's very talented. I just dont like the way these cymbals sound on this recording and by reading some of the other comments im not the only one
