Ok, after laughing my head off the first few times I watched I noticed something..
At 0:24 the Pepsi can lands between the benches.
At 0:28 it's suddenly two feet from the girl's head.
Both shots showed that no cola was spilled, indicating the can was empty.
Basing from experience, an empty soda can would not hurt that bad when hit.
