  • i am not absolutely certain but i think this symphony was written by leopold Mozart, not haydn. But then again, i am not certain.

  • @Elimias1 Actually, this tune was written by neither! It was in fact written by a Tyrolean Monk.Indeed, the Benedictine monk Father Edmund Angerer (1740-1794), of Fiecht Monastery in the Tyrolean lowlands, composed the piece in three movements during the 18th century and named it "Berchtoldsgaden Musick" because of the scoring for children's instruments.Later, this piece was (incorrectly) attributed to both Haydn and Leopold, however substantial findings have now corrected this error.
