While you certainly saved yourself a small amount of money what if it is malignant and you left a small piece inside and it metastasizes??? I am not nearly a doctor, but I am pretty sure that you should have sanitized 1) the area to be cut, 2) your cutting tool(s), 3) your hands and also worn some type of sterile gloves.
