@thunderDARKside most gncc pros arent running honda because they have no factory support.. if you look through the other classes many people run honda... Brian Wolfs on a honda. Borich rode a honda until suzuki threw a ton of money at him.. suzuki isnt a great bike unless you have the walsh fox setup.. and factory budget.. yamahas efi blows. you have to buy a 1000 ecu to make it worth it. theres a reason a lot of the big yamaha guys switched their ecu over to carbs...

@sdudley02 The only predators that had problems was the 03's,,Tranny prob's...But after that had the up grade they was problem free. I know cause I had one. The predators are fun quads to ride...The 500 fuji engine is very dependable. When I souped my predator up there was no trx that could out run me.
This may come as a supprise to you pinheads but when the engineers design these quads..they dont design them for on pavement drag races...try racing them on a track or in the woods where they belong...I own BOTH of those quads and in the woods and on the track the Polaris cant touch the Honda....the predator is fast but the rear suspension sucks balls the power comes too late for tight corners its like 45 pounds heavier....
@njerseyscuba Not only that, they are designed for two different purposes. The Honda is more of a track/compeditive quad, and the Predator is more aimed to be like a Raptor. In other words, trail quad. I agree, pavement isn't the proper way to judge a quads performance.

I own a 2005 Polaris Predator 500 and a 2005 Honda Trx450r and the 450r eats up the predator on a harescramble track but when my friend and I race down a streight dirt road the 450r gets the jump but in the end Predator is always faster. I'm getting a HRC kit for the 450r so we will see if that makes a difference.
The predator might be able to beat a 450r top speed. But i've personally witnessed a 450r waste a predator all day on the track. It's the reason you don't see many predators racing. They aren't nearly as fast as the honda 450r or yfz 450 or especially the ltr 450. Those three quads are much quicker than a predator. LIke i said, maybe not top speed but they are quicker.

first off all you losers that are saying these slow ass predators are faster than a 450r!! you all need to go out and ride somthing that isnt on a damn tv screen!! those pred 500 have horriable fugi motors that are built in taiwan! and they have like the worst air intake of sport quads, and the head of those motors are complete junk. i own a 2005 honda 450r and i have a buddy with a pred. i weigh a good 40lbs over him and i walked him by at least 10 lengths in a 300ft drag. 450R rocks!!!!!!

I own a 2005 Polaris Predator 500 and a 2005 Honda Trx450r and the 450r eats up the predator on a harescramble track but when my friend and I race down a streight dirt road the 450r gets the jump but in the end Predator is always faster. I'm getting a HRC kit for the 450r so we will see if that makes a difference.

The predator might be able to beat a 450r top speed. But i've personally witnessed a 450r waste a predator all day on the track. It's the reason you don't see many predators racing. They aren't nearly as fast as the honda 450r or yfz 450 or especially the ltr 450. Those three quads are much quicker than a predator. LIke i said, maybe not top speed but they are quicker.

Uhhh you DO know the predator is a 500, compared to the 450r....meaning more top-end as seen here. And crf150s are chumps, and trussst me. NO chance against a nice R, especially wita better rider. Ive spanked on a ninja600, mustang gt, and civic si all the same day down my neighborhood. Kinda ridiculous. And polaris made only one good bike, the "Trail Blazer250"....which is intended for women :D lol
