I was making a new PSN, then my PS3 froze. I had to unplug it, then when I turned it back on it read "Cannot Start. The correct hard disk was not found." I turned it off by pressing the power button then held the button until it beeped twice to restore it. It didn't work, so I tried going to the recovery menu and it would do the beeping stuff up until it made a double beep, then I still had a black screen. I have a Slim 120GB/Latest FW/RGB Component cables. Help appreciated,

i have an easy fix for this crap that we call a PS3 or as i like to call it a fail station. ok so this is it get rid of the ps3 sell it then take the money u have made from the sold fail station. then go buy your self a X-BOX or as i like to call it the epic station. there your problem is solved x box does not have this issue.

yea i have a different prob ok so i bought saints row tried to play it and like the picture in the missions kept fukin up so i reinstalled the game like 3 times with no difference then i finally got it to work without updating the game then out of nowhere it froze i tried to reset the ps3 then it said harddrive corrupted click yes to fit so i push yes and it never gets passed 20percent and freezes idk wat to do if anybody knows how to fix this shit tell me please

I think it was my graphics card that had the problem, because the sound worked fine but the usual screen didnt appear, then i sent it back to sony to be repaired. It broke on May 15th (when the PSN hacking had ended) and i only sent it back three days ago.

@ahmadmohamad97 Do a screen reset. Hold the power buttom (The touch one the ps3) For 5 secs. until you hear a single beep. If that dosent work call sony custom suport.

I need help please.

So here is my own problem.

When I turn on my ps3, it is all a black screen. However, if I press the ps3button on the controller, it will come the symbol for that the action is not possible. At the same time, if I hold in the ps3 controller button, it will take me to that ps3 controller menu (Turn of system/Turn of controller thingy).

I have tried this with both my HDMI cable and the standard cable that comes with the PS3

I have a PS3 Slim.

Please help me! :)

@453droskie I delivered to where I bought it to get it repaired for some day ago. But if I would guess, its something with the hard drive. However, I dont have any much knowlegde of the inside of the PlayStation, so I would recommend you to deliver it and get it repaired

It seems that people get problems when they turn of the ps3 during an action. For example, turning off the system while they are downloading a game. Or, in my situation, the PS3 froze when I was selecting Network settings, and my friend turned off the ps3. I have no idea however how to fix it
