They don't sound similar really, they just have really catchy lyrics with a fuck you attitude. songs you can relate to.

It's funny because in an interview somewhere here on YT, Ben talks about how the band was concerned about sounding too much like Say Anything on their first EP, but he says something like fuck it, let's just do what we do.

to be fair, its very say anything but i dont see that as a bad thing. there isnt enough bands like say anything. much more sunny upbeat than SA in tone but lyrical content is very similar.

I think YMAEWK has a little more of an upbeat, melodic sound than Say Anything does. Max Bemis sings with his soul and his feeling, but if you were to make that guy sing a full scale like they do for choir kids, forget it. Nothing against Say Anything, because they are quite possibly my favorite band. Max Bemis is pure genius. But yeah, I can see the comparison but I really think You Me And Everyone We Know is a little more "poppy" and fun than Say Anything is.
