Seems like you were really impressed of the character deaths in the anime. : P You can find those kill 'em all animes if you look hard enough though, like in Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Zeta Gundam, Ideon, or Now and Then, Here and There. and I have to agree with some of the stuff that happens in TTGL, like Boota, but I didn't pay much attention to it, the manliness, awesomeness, and explosions were blinding me from it's flaws.

Oh it was epic and awesome all around. I love the display of "LETS FUCKING DO THIS!!!!!" and going all out for sure. Im just glad a series had the balls to kill off a main/likable character, its so rare these days. ~MJ

Nice review, I totally agree about what you said about the reality in Tengen. Every now and then, I always watch the first 5 minutes of the final episode of Tengen, just for the epicness lol XD.

Yeah Gurren l;agann will probably be my Top Anime for some time to come though if Hajime No Ippo just had a bit better animation it would probably top it for me.

its a remake with more action and different scenes the fist movie is out. get it at tokyotosho with a dot and info at the end. Search Guren Lagann Guren-hen and you'll find subs

Yeah I heard it was a recap with some scene changes and enhancements. You may as well put it as "Complete" on your animelist >_>

And I know I had my complaints about the end because of the characters but that doesn't mean i didn't enjoy it. You pretty much described the ending well "They keep it real".

Non of that Cinderella ending bullcrap. There are tragedies in battles on both sides and they pretty much kept that through to the end.

Oh and I have to mention, first time I heard "Believe in me, who believes in you" I started laughing because it kinda sounded like nonsense. It's not until the second time I heard it that the epicness of it kicked in.

Yes, ttgl was great but I have to disagree with you.

The ending is easy to explain, you see it goes like this: MANLINESS FUELS EVERYTHING IN TTGL AND THE OLDER AND MANLIER THE CHARACTERS GROW THE MORE MOTHER FUCKING MANLINESS IS ADMINISTERED TO THE FUCKING ANIME THEREFORE LESS AND LESS EXPLAINING IS NEEDED WHILE MORE AND MORE "FUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"S TAKE THEIR PLACE. IT'S NOT JUST THROWING SHIT IN OUT OF THIN AIR, IT'S OUT OF PURE FUCKIN AWESOME

ya a cool part about it is it didnt throw out evolution but borught it in as part of the plot and it showed its cons and pros for it in the anime dont take me wrong i believe in god and all but still that was a good bases for y the enemy wanted to kill them

Great review of Gurren Lagann I just finished it last week and thought it was great. one of the best i have seen I agree with every point you brought up ESPECIALLY ROSSIU god i hated him so much but i suppose he did get a little better anyway great review.
