  • Our male is 30 lbs and feels that he should be seated at the table at supper i of course make hi get down but its hilarious

  • We have a big boy too! - I like the eyes on yours...very surprised all the time!!!

  • My boston is 26lbs and its only a year and 2 months....I wonder when he will stop....its all muscle, we take him running all the time and he loves it!

  • All of these people talking about their oversized bostons. Whoopdy doo? So what? Everybody has big bostons. Rarely any of them conform to standard anymore. BYB or rescued from a byb. Cute video though

  • @tekkchick

My 35 pound Boston was not from a backyard breeder - I bought him from a responsible breeder that has been breeding Bostons for many years....both his parents weighed between 15-18 pounds. Sometimes, the large gene just pops up. We also have a female Boston, who is only 12 pounds.

  • Sure sure. Health problems are bound to occur more so in those oversized dogs. Just wait.

  • @tekkchick

Are you a vet? Are you telepathic? What makes you an expert on large Bostons? And what makes you think that the word "oversized" is actually appropriate in describing larger Bostons? They were originally bred to be that size. Obviously, you don't know what you are talking about.

  • @njsockmonkey I'm an AKC handler and have been handling bostons for 20 years plus a vet tech. It's a proven fact smartass, overbred/over sized dogs have more health problems. Over sized is appropriate, they are not normally sized over 25lbs, hence OVER the standard...they were bred for fighting and were supposed to be of the smaller size for that "sport" just like pits.

  • @tekkchick whatever ur full of shit! ur an akc handler and a vet? and u go around calling people smartasses? dont sound too profecional to me

  • @juliocsr Who says I'm trying to be professional? Spell it correctly before you try and use it as an insult. You don't know my name, you don't know what I look like, so no one knows who I am. Bingo

  • @tekkchick hahahah im sorry for not spelling correctly on YT

  • @juliocsr It only helps your argument. =]

  • my boston terrier is a girl and weighs 35+ lbs- all muscle

  • That's the best thing about kids and dogs, they can amuse themselves. Swing on pooch.

  • I love this video! I also have a crazy 35 lb Boston. We take him and our Lab to the dog park often and we always get the comments about how big he is (especially from other "smaller" Boston owners), but I really prefer the large Bostons to the small ones. They're what the original Boston's size were.

  • when we take him to the water park everyone plays with him. they try to take his rope but they never can get it from him, same with the other dogs. they just give up. lol and he loves swimming!!!!

  • WHOAH...........35 pounds- that's a ST. Bernard BT-LOL, mine is 15 pounds, can't imagine twice as much energy! i love your BT's crazy eyes- too cute, TFS!

  • our little girl boston is 16 pounds. its funny to see them play together.

  • Demon face!

  • What a crazy dog!! He looks like he's been hitting the pipe.

  • lol i know right?!

  • My boston is 5 months old and he is already 21 pounds... Do you happen to remember how much your boy was when he was 5? I wonder how big mine will be?. Thank you.

  • i cant remember how big he was. i dont think he really filled out until he was 3 or 4 years old. have fun with your boy :)

  • i have a 35 lbs pound boston terrier he go to (Toby the boston terrier) and you'll see him

  • What a good Boy!

  • Ha he is cute he has a crazy look in his eyes. Think he was going for the kill of the rope lol

  • We have a big boy also! 30lbs of muscle, no fat! Gotta love, love, love the big boys!!!

  • LOLOL....what's with the crazy eyes!?!?!

  • i have a boston boy who is 30 pounds, and he's not even a year yet! That's cool to know there are more big guys out there. Super cute video

  • My dog used to do that also. But we had tied it higher so she would jump and hang on it for hours and hours. But then we moved and we had no trees we could do that with again.

  • that's a cool toy, I haven't seen that before

  • he loves to "hang" around, does he?? :)

  • We have a big boy Boston too, about 30 lbs. I would guess. There's two sizes, miniature and standard, which are the biggies. Love, love them!!

  • when we got our boston terrier which is average size her son could probley stick her whole head in his mouth probley was 2x's bigger than her. sadly he was to big for us to get at the time.

  • My BT is also 35 pounds and everyone always comments on how big he is!! Gotta Love the big boys :-)

  • Look at those peepers!!

  • Cute! Bostons rule!

  • I also have a 36 lbs boston and Trust me he is all boston. Just because he is big doesn't mean he isn't boston.

  • Thanks!!! I'm sure he's a blast! :)

  • I bet i can top that , I have three BT and Brutus comes in at a whopping 43lbs, and he is pure boston,NO FAT ALL MUSCLE

  • thats crazy! you should put a vid on here. i've love to see him! :)

  • my boston is 1/4 pitbull and he weighs in at about 37, no fat at all, puremuscle. i have one of these for him but hes gotta jump then he hangs, nice BT though

  • I like how right under the rope the ground is like worn away, lmfao he must really like that toy. I had a boston for almost 14 1/2 years before she passed greatest companion of my life!

  • they are wonderful. my father's boston passed 3 weeks ago due to congestive heart failure. he was only 10.

  • I have a 32lb boston. My vet said that when Bostons were originally bred, they were between 40 and 50lbs. The larger bostons are called traditional bostons. For the longest time I thought I had been sold a mix breed instead of a purebreed.

  • I never knew they were that big. Wow!

  • my boston terrier was abit bigger then this one, he looked like a body builder lol he was so fit but he died when he was 9 :(

  • my boston bout 16 17 ibs.

  • Our Boston is 36 pounds, the vet says she has to lose 8 pounds because her knee blew out while chasing a basketball. Now she yelps when she jumps down from the couch sometimes.

Anything over 30 pounds is huge for a Boston.

  • Poor puppy :( If BJ lost weight like that he would look sick, but thats because he is taller also....he's just a bigger boston, but not overweight.

  • reminds me of my cousins boston, rooster, he is really crazy and stupid, he only stays calm when you hold him upside down.

  • maybe because all the blood is rushing to his head??????

  • O_o.... never thought about that before.

  • hey, my boston is 34 lbs. hes tall thin and not wide at all. i think hes a BT x AM STAFFF BT

  • That music is hilarious. It's perfect. I am sending you a video response of our Bostons playing with a homemade toy.

  • Thanks...looking forward to it :)

  • your dog is sooooo cute! my boston terrier is like half the size of him.

  • Thanks;)

  • I doubt the 35 lb claim, with an eye fault like that it cant be pure.

  • Oh he's a boston. we have had 5 bostons in the family so I know hes a boston and ive had other people on here that have written me about their large boston. I asked the vet about his size and he says it's rare, but he has seen it before. it goes back in genetics. no matter.....i love him!

  • Christ! The tongue on that creature is scary! LOL!!

  • yeah and he's a drooler. lol

  • What a cool boston. We have a 3 month old boston who is going to be 'bigger than breed standard'. That's very cool. thanks for the video!

  • Thanks! You should put him/her on here so we can see them.

  • My BT is a little overweight...but what do you expect? She licks all the plates and eats a lot of doggy treats. My other BT on the other hand is very skinny. Just take him on a nice long walk every day, and don't feed him much treats...and he'll slim down. I'm doing that with my chubby Boston...and its working.

  • Funny thing is that we don't over feed him. He is just BIG lol and he plays a lot. If he could, I think he'd play with that rope until he passed out. I literally have to stop him. LOL

  • maybe you need glasses? The Boston in the video is lean and muscular. He just happens to be a big boy.

  • Breed standard for Bostons are a max of 25 pounds. I would suspect there is a mix in there somewhere. Maybe bull dog. As well, if you look at BJ's eyes the white goes all the way around. The white is called haw and Boston's are only susposed to have it in the corners of their eyes not all the way around. BJ is a beautiful animal and I love the video. Just wanted good info out there on the breed.

  • just because a certain dog dosen't meet breed 'standards' for showing and competition, it dosen't mean that they are some kind of mix.

  • AMEN!!! Thanks sundrop1974!

  • eww that looks painful

  • Bostons are the best! BJ is cute!

  • Thanks and they are!

  • I thought my baby was big at 25lbs! Cute!!

  • you should put a video on here so we could all see him or her. :)

  • I love this video!! Haha, I made my own boston video of our dog Lucy.. you can see it in my profile, thought you might like it!

  • I'll check it out. Thanks for watching!!

  • What a sweet face:))

  • I've got a 35lb whopper myself, his little playmate stars in my first vid. At 9 weeks and 3 pounds he didn't fear the "Gentle Giant".

    NietzscheNu

  • What a great idea for exercise! Cute, Cute!

  • My 36lb Boston boy gets the same googly eyes when excited. Beautiful Boston.

  • They do get the crazy eye look when they want something. Thanks!

  • HAHAHA! That is one big Boston! Boston's have the best crazy face don't they? When mine gets excited he shows all his teeth and touches his top lip with his toungue. It's odd, really.

  • You gotta love Bostons!

  • That's a huge boston. O.O

My tiny 4-month old, Nacho, will prolly get trampled xD

Cute vid, I love it how he eyes the rope and have this crazy look on him, priceless hahah

  • gay music.... lol but funny dog :p

  • Hi focusthis51 i was just wondering if u breed boston terriers bcoz i wen i bought my boston called junior the breeder had a dog there called pj n he looks like the 1 in the video

  • No I don't breed them, but have thought about it...(I wouldn't be able to give the puppies up. lol) They say we all have twins somewhere in the world. Maybe this goes for dogs as well.

  • His Mutant eyes are googly-riffic !

    yes he is Nuttoes

  • He is crazy!!! One of a kinda and that is why we love him!

  • Oh my goodness... HE IS SO CUTE! For a 35-pound Boston I expected him to look fat, but he doesn't really. Just stocky I guess... or big-boned. LOL

He sure does have "the crazy eye" when he stops and looks up at that rope. Great video!
