She is an absolute ball, the champion of Europe among juniors in 2006, speaking for Russia. Just the current level of skill does not give her a chance to get to Russia's national team, the strongest in the world!
She was spotted at Worlds in UZB gear. I guess her citizenship cleared a few weeks before Asian Games. She was probably planning on competing for them for awhile, which is probably a wise choice.
@KVHolland3 Why it is shocking? She can't participate to the tournaments with Russian team, why not to participate with another country? If it is not normal, then Uzbekistanian Viner, who is a head coach of Russian, shouldn't be normal?
World is Globalazed, it is so normal, and she is competing for UZB, where the the attention to the gymnastics is so high.
@Chayxana Well I generally thought RUSSIAN meant only Russians were allowed but I think wineformybetches cleared it up...I wasn't accusing her of anything calm down...I was just saying i thought she was on the Russian team and even had a chance of making the team...then boom she's on UZB
@KVHolland3 Daria Yelizarova - Russian, from Russian city of Tula, near Moscow. She - a great gymnast, in good shape, but not enough to get into the Russian national team. And it's great that she is now able to travel to international competitions under the banner of Uzb. and delight fans with their performances!
