I don't know why people keep saying this doesnt give out a reading. Eventually you will slow down and turn off the jammer to let the cop get a reading. What I'd like to see is a Jammer that reports a "false" reading to trick the cops into thinking that I'm not speeding at all but driving at the posted speed, even though my actual speed is completely different. I've seen cops pull cars over that have a jammer, simply because they couldn't get any reading off of them. I've also seen people get pulled over simply for having a dangling cord hanging from their sunvisor, and people ticketed for simply having a detector in their car, hooked up or not.

Laser speed measuring devices utilize the retro-reflective properties of the license plates. All the other vehicles that were shown being clocked in this video had front license plates. The Corvette did not have a front license plate.

Keep in mind Officers use the radar/laser guns to confirm your speed. It isn't too hard to tell if you are speeding, especially in this video. You going faster than the car next to you and the officer can get speed readings of cars next to you, mmmm not to difficult. Any way I would love to see someone go to court and say it is impossible for the officer to know I was speeding, I was using a jammer. Good luck... there is a huge difference between radar and laser. jamming radar is illegal. You jam a radar gun, you better have a FCC licence for the jammer you are using.
Laser, most states have problems banning it. Its invisible light. Laser jammer tickets can be easy to argue in court if you know what you are talking about and have a planned defense.
The best setup is a high end radar detector, and a high end LASER jammer with alarm so you can slow and turn off for a safe reading.

Police cannot pull you over for what a radar says. Radars and LiDars can be wrong. They have to use their judgment.
Well, in some states if they use a doppler radar or laser radar and the visually see a vehicle is going over the posted speed limit and cant get a confirmation they can still pull you over and write you a speeding ticket. I know in the State of Kentucky they can write the ticket with the speed that the officer predicts. The officers must be radar certified though. Thats the kicker! So, dont depend on a radar detector for nothing. You can still get a speeding ticket!

we have better products then the laser-jammer. we have a radar that can display a speed limit for a detector. i can set it up 10 MPH 1900 MPH 45 MPh. when i travel on I-80. i set it at 69 MPH while my real speed is 77MPH - 81MPH
Corvette doesn't have a plate or the exposed headlights which are the prime target for the laser. Aiming it at the blinker wont do anything because it's not reflective. I'd like to see it work with those 2 things present.

The smart move would be to have an alarm that goes off when the jammer is working. The driver can then slow down, and turn the jammer off, allowing the police to register a normal speed. A car that gives no reading would be very suspicious, and would constitute reason to search it.
@kayakergod they do ALL laser jammers allert the driver some jammers automatically shut down after so many seconds. but you can over ride that for testing like they did hear . the correct way to use a jammer is to slow down then switch off .

This system works, i would install the calibre if you're going to get one. But the problem is when the office doesn't get a signal from you, it's a dead give away that you are using a defuser, which is illegal and can have your vehicle impounded. Just get a K40, it responds quickly for you to slow down.

In Fact has already estimated the speed of the vehicle and only uses the radar unit to collaborate the vehicles speed. An officer can and will write a ticket for excessive speed with no MPH listed. @TheEodtch I believe the idea is to have hidden out of sight equipment that sends back false readings to the gun (as soon as it detects the infrared light it knows where its coming from then fires back a bunch of false hits so the gun can't figure out what the fuck is going on). It's a constant battle between Jammer/Guns to be the best. Some people have QUAD jammers. But even the best can be topped by those little SOB departments with high budgets who can buy the absolute best. Useful 99.9%. :-)

Radar jammers are illegal in all 50 states now per a Federal Communications Commissions ruling a couple years ago. In some states you can get arrested for operating one.

How is this a good defense against a speeding ticket? Then you'll just get stopped because you're standing out by having no reading at all. If you are going to use a "laser" jammer you had better check the laws before you use it. A radar jammer is illegal; but transmitting IR radiation isn't; but you have to check the laws first or if it is illegal you get a fast trip to jail; car impounded and could be confiscated..
Well, these jammers do seem to work, but the problem is, if the cop is reading you and other cars, and he doesn't get a signal from you but does from others, then he will know you're using a jammer, and as far as I know, they're illegal, so now you will not only get pulled over, but you'll end up in jail if they find out you're using a jammer, unless you're using both a jammer and a detector so you can block him and get a signal from the radar before he gets your reading, and turn off the jammer

Using a detector and/or a jammer is useless if you don't pay attention and use it to your advantage. Seriously, a jammer/detector is going to alert you its in use, probably long before you get to it and it is actually pegging you. You have to use the other drivers ahead of you as your buffer so to speak and act/listen accordingly. If you unfortunately are being pegged and your jamming the signal, slow down and turn it off ASAP. Give the cop a safe reading and you should be fine.

This test video is bullshit. They are using two completely different cars. Anyone who knows anything knows that NOT how to conduct an accurate test. The Corvette they use even without the laser jammer has several advantages over the other cars they test. 1. The Corvette has no front license plate 2. Corvette has no visible headlights. 3. Corvette has a much lower front profile than the other cars. These three things are a HUGE advantage to avoiding detection by laser than the other cars.

On some freeways all where I live there are certain areas that have white lines painted and then a couple of 100 feet later another White line, cops will measure how long it takes you to pass from one to the other. What I'd like to see is a Jammer that reports a "false" reading to trick the cops into thinking that I'm not speeding at all but driving at the posted speed, even though my actual speed is completely different. I've seen cops pull cars over that have a jammer, simply because they couldn't get any reading off of them. I've also seen people get pulled over simply for having a dangling cord hanging from their sunvisor, and people ticketed for simply having a detector in their car, hooked up or not.

Keep in mind Officers use the radar/laser guns to confirm your speed. It isn't too hard to tell if you are speeding, especially in this video. You going faster than the car next to you and the officer can get speed readings of cars next to you, mmmm not to difficult. Any way I would love to see someone go to court and say it is impossible for the officer to know I was speeding, I was using a jammer. Good luck... Instead of trying to get away with it why not try to obey the law its cheaper.

there is a huge difference between radar and laser. jamming radar is illegal. You jam a radar gun, you better have a FCC licence for the jammer you are using.
Laser, most states have problems banning it. Its invisible light. Laser jammer tickets can be easy to argue in court if you know what you are talking about and have a planned defense.
The best setup is a high end radar detector, and a high end LASER jammer with alarm so you can slow and turn off for a safe reading.

Well, in some states if they use a doppler radar or laser radar and the visually see a vehicle is going over the posted speed limit and cant get a confirmation they can still pull you over and write you a speeding ticket. I know in the State of Kentucky they can write the ticket with the speed that the officer predicts. The officers must be radar certified though. Thats the kicker! So, dont depend on a radar detector for nothing. You can still get a speeding ticket!

The smart move would be to have an alarm that goes off when the jammer is working. The driver can then slow down, and turn the jammer off, allowing the police to register a normal speed. A car that gives no reading would be very suspicious, and would constitute reason to search it.

But the problem is when the office doesn't get a signal from you, it's a dead give away that you are using a defuser, which is illegal and can have your vehicle impounded. In Fact has already estimated the speed of the vehicle and only uses the radar unit to collaborate the vehicles speed. An officer can and will write a ticket for excessive speed with no MPH listed. Go sit with a traffic office and play "guess how many miles per hour" with it costing $1 per MPH error. Take lots of $1 with you!

@TheEodtch I believe the idea is to have hidden out of sight equipment that sends back false readings to the gun (as soon as it detects the infrared light it knows where its coming from then fires back a bunch of false hits so the gun can't figure out what the fuck is going on). It's a constant battle between Jammer/Guns to be the best. Some people have QUAD jammers. But even the best can be topped by those little SOB departments with high budgets who can buy the absolute best. Useful 99.9%. :-)

Well, these jammers do seem to work, but the problem is, if the cop is reading you and other cars, and he doesn't get a signal from you but does from others, then he will know you're using a jammer, and as far as I know, they're illegal, so now you will not only get pulled over, but you'll end up in jail if they find out you're using a jammer, unless you're using both a jammer and a detector so you can block him and get a signal from the radar before he gets your reading, and turn off the jammer

Using a detector and/or a jammer is useless if you don't pay attention and use it to your advantage. Seriously, a jammer/detector is going to alert you its in use, probably long before you get to it and it is actually pegging you. You have to use the other drivers ahead of you as your buffer so to speak and act/listen accordingly. If you unfortunately are being pegged and your jamming the signal, slow down and turn it off ASAP. Give the cop a safe reading and you should be fine.

This test video is bullshit. They are using two completely different cars. Anyone who knows anything knows that NOT how to conduct an accurate test. The Corvette they use even without the laser jammer has several advantages over the other cars they test. 1. The Corvette has no front license plate 2. Corvette has no visible headlights. 3. Corvette has a much lower front profile than the other cars. These three things are a HUGE advantage to avoiding detection by laser than the other cars.

A quick examination; Jamming lidar is completely legal in 40 states. Jamming radar is against supposed federal law(FCC regulation). Those who are saying don't speed, don't be stupid, People get bullshit speeding tickets all the time. I was doing 48 in a 55 after seeing what I thought was a drunk driver on cape cod one friday night/saturday morning, and it was a state trooper. I get written up for 98 in a 55 and lost in court. If you don't want speeding tickets DON"T SPEED! They can still catch you using speed traps. On some freeways all where I live there are certain areas that have white lines painted and then a couple of 100 feet later another White line, cops will measure how long it takes you to pass from one to the other. They get you this way, problem is they can't prove it since it is not recorded as actual speed.

For you it is a speed limit lane if the max speed is 70 mph and the minimum is 50 then if you encounter someone doing 50-69 mph you can use the "fast lane" up to 70 mph. 5 miles over is still 5 miles over. The ss camaro which is rated at 426 rwhp is EASILY as fast and just a little faster than the gto which is rated at 400rwhp. @senorbeast09 THE 302 is a 4.9 ltr NOT A 5.0 first off a small upgrade can make it a 5.0 but it is a 4.9 without it or a 4,951cc. secondly that 426 hp is rwhp that is why the SAME engine in an automatic makes 400 rwhp If it was at the flywheel the transmission would make NO difference. NOW REALLY stop talking of what you have no idea about
History for ya they called the 302 a 5.0 because the 300 straight six was almost the exact ltr they were both 4.9.
