  • Currently learning this in baritone...it's a joke how difficult this chart is—for all four parts, mind you.

    David Wright: 24

    Me: 0

  • Fantastic!!

  • this should be WAY higher than an 89.5 this is the most fucking amazing thing i've seen from any chorus EVER

  • @midget3292 You'd be surprised, but I saw the flaws. Two harmonies were slightly out of tune. Apart from that, the synchronization and level of the moves need just the slightest bit of sharpening. 89.5 is a very good score. 75 is considered good for small (er) chapters who don't have such phenominal coaches. If you get above a 94, you are THEE best. Bravo to the Northern Lights. Sorry for ranting.

  • This is really unbelievably hard.

  • This (Alabamy Bound) is a David Wright (see GHG) arrangement, which I'm told even the Vocal Majority felt was too challenging.

I also understand that Brian Beck stood up, after seeing this video in during a judges' training session, and suggested that each member of the TNL should be accorded a masters in music from the University of Toronto just for being able to pull it off.

  • Has anyone posted a video of the 2002 International from Portland yet? TNL did a better job with the choreography on "Alabamy Bound" that year, in my opinion.

  • I wish someone would upload their set from 2003 in Montréal. They were robbed that year. They outsang AND outpresented the VM, AND their songs were more Barbershop so they should've won on MUSic as well!

I thought sure they were gonna do to the VM what FRED did to Platinum in 1999!

  • I think they were robbed in Luisville as well. I thought their set was so much more impressive than Ambassadors. Although it was great to see Jim Henry win a chorus gold.

  • That would be Louisville. I really can spell.

  • Seriously? Were you watching a different contest?? Not to take anything away from TNL, but no-one, not VM or MOH even, could have beaten Ambassadors in Louisville! They were breath-taking. Not a dry eye in the house when they finished their first song.

  • Hey, we agree on something J.J.! Ambassadors' Louisville set was the most impressive thing I've ever seen by a big chorus.

  • Judges (system) weren't ready for it and VM was (subconsciously - or not) already there (#1). If nothing else it was a Pyrrhic (sp) victory.

  • That rocks so hard. It kinda looks like ur sittin at the CA's table..

  • Love them so much. Amazing
