Love Gabe character, I would die to see him again - but it would be not entirely into the show storyline - he was truly killed - we had never seen Castiel's wings after his death - we have seen Gabriel's! Unfortunately :/
Even if they do bring him back at this point they've already fluffed it pretty badly by killing him in the first place. He was a character with so much potential, pretty much the only character in the whole thing who really got it. Finally he decides that, yes, free will is worth fighting for and then bam. Dead. Given no chance to explore that properly. They didn't even give him a good death, they could at least have given him like a proper fight scene or something. It's a real waste.
