guys that creature is a freshwater eel, it's highly unlikely that it will bite a human, i quite often go fishing for these, but alot bigger ones, the ones i catch are usually at least 3 ft. and to people asking whether it lived, yes it did, eels can live for several hours out of water and survive, they often travel for an hour or 2 over land to get to another water source if theres runs out of food or encounters other problems.
