Papa Bush blew it when we defeated Iraq the first time by not demanding Saddam be handed over to us and the Kuwaitis for trial (and of course under Islamic law, beheading). Opposing Saddam was never a mistake, and it was the way Rumsfield ran the war (with politics) that was the miserable failure going in to Iraq was ALWAYS the right thing to do, the monumental blundering dragging the war on for years was NEVER necessary.

I was opposed to the Iraq invasion from the start, but once we were in I thought we should give max effort to obtain the best solution possible.

Too many Dems were defeatist from the start, and what's worse, I suspect they opposed it not on principle, but for partisan political reasons. No one can argue that a stable democratic (to whatever extent) Iraq does not make for a more stable middle east and a safer Israel. There's a strain of anti-semitism within the Left and the Dems are suspect.

The leftist have always been rabid anti-Semites (umm...Hitler..who was a leftist ring a bell, etc.), and liberals, their passive agressive cohorts and enablers, have always been in denail and closeted about that fact.

Why blacks and Jews have anything to do with their disgusting subsurface seething racism is beyond me...it make you think, that even with everything they have suffered, they're just as stupid as everyone else.
