I agree with you, but then, I'd also have to disagree to an extent. Personally, I usually prefer the original Japanese voices over any sort of dubs when it comes to my video games/anime. Best example is the 4Kids debacle of One Piece. My point though, is that sometimes English dubs are trash; depending on which company dubs them. I think that Aksys Games provided great English translations and voice talent. That said, I believe Christana Vee's voice was an excellent pick for Noel.
@OvanEC I have the JP voices for CT, and the English voices for CS...why? Hazama's English VA is amazing, and the English VA's in CT aren't that good, but they really really improved for CS.

Noel is wonderful and honestly--I find her ditziness rather refreshing. o_o Not many hight pitched screeching characters come across as refreshing to me---So she's soing SOMETHING right.

They didn't have this song on BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger OST because it wasn't in that game. It was in Continuum Shift. Calamity Trigger had this song, but the original version, not the "Single Cut Remix". This mix has lyrics :)

Most everyone that played that game JOKED that he was homo because he wore pink AND didn't hardly give a crap about saving his girlfriend half the time. Perhaps if you were more a fan of VJ than you are quick to assume the worst of a statement you might have gotten the joke right away without having to state the painfully obvious points of his character which so clearly point out that he is indeed 'straight'.
I think Noel is TOO Norm, I'm sick of cute moe klutz characters with an annoying squeaky voice. If you're going for moe do it right (clannad), if you're going to be annoying, please just leave the character out! Well, at least nothing is as bad as Welch and Sarah from Star Ocean, those are the most annoying characters ever concocted
For everyone hating on Noel's personality, I get that she is annoying, but that just makes her more real to me. Sure, most video game characters are more classic, like Ragna is the anti-hero, and Jin is the deranged psychopath (sorry Jin lovers, hes a freak!) but having a character that is different than the norm is refreshing. Besides, as Ovan said, shes cute damn it!

Noel isn't a good character, she's mid tier, just a really easy spam character. Also, she's my 2nd most hated character in the entire game. Her personality sucks, her voice annoys me, and she looks cute, but everything she does goes against it. I think the main reason for the hate is that everyone else fawns over her and loves her when she is really meh at best. Idk, oh yeah, V-13 and Rachel are so broke it's not even funny
V-13 is the best female character in the game, personality wise IMO
Not to try to start an argument, but from what I can tell, no character is any better than another. Each character can be insanely strong or incredibly weak, its all up to the play to make it so. I once thought Haku-men was broken because of his damage, but after beating my friend 37 times in a row when he played haku-men and I played Noel, it kinda proved my point. The closest thing to broken in this game is the difficulty tier of a couple of characters. Thats my opinion.
It's fine, the game is incredibly balanced, probably the most balanced fighter out there now, and if you ask any pro, all characters, except for 2, are pretty much even. Those 2 are Rachel and V-13, which are clearly the best characters in the game, every other one doesn't matter, it's how well you play, this is true. Oh yeah, if you care about tiers (I really don't except for Nu for a good reason), Hakumen is really low tier, lol

True. Noel has some nice invincible frames, which would allow her to slip past attacks and get a hit in. A skilled player would be able to time those moves well enough to render any spammed attack useless. A spammer going against a skilled Noel player is like a newb going against a pro in DoA. The spammer will be countered, knocked into the wall, pummeled, and countered again.
The vocals don't mix with the music at all since the recording of it is so bland. It's like they taped it on. Maybe if they turned it down a notch and added an echo and a couple overdubs.
I agree with you on that and that's my point. It's a cruel world for one of the cutest VG girls ever created to get so much in-game hate when A) several other characters are arguably more annoying than her and B) It Won't Matter When BB: Continuum Shift Is Released since most of the crap people are complaining about will be fixed anyway!
I find her personality, which is quite possibly the shittiest I have ever seen for any character in any medium, to be far more annoying than any problems with her as far as actual gameplay goes. Noel isn't that broken. her chain revolver is actually punishible, and theres the reload time after the drive. The only way to end it safely is to either use, Asault through, or bloom trigger. v-13 is much more broken and Carl is also annoying with his infinite combo so i don't know why everyone is complaining about Noel.

Yes. Amusing in the fact that it's so true. This game wasn't rushed by any means as far as its production and yet there were flaws. Flaws that players found and exploited. This leads to debates about broken/cheap characters.
However, none of that really matters anymore since the developers are fixing the so-called problems in the next game: BB: Continuum Shift
Basically, skill is the grand divider here. If you're not very skilled with any of the characters people get all pissy about in BB then you rely heavily on their easiest moves; i.e. V-13-'s sword drive.
And on the other side of the same coin here, if you're skilled enough, it won't matter if your opponent spams the easy moves at you. With enough skill you can come out on top.
So remember boys and girls, Bang Shishigami says: "BEHIND ME!"

Too true. Lately, at least, English voice acting in VG's has been stepped up to the point that we can no longer cling to the days of old - many of us still recovering from "All Your Base Are Belong To Us."
I'm honestly so appalled in general that some of the greatest Japanese voice talent is only heard in Anime anymore and how often Eng-Dubs seem to ruin that.
Never the less, this game turned out perfect. And speaking of "rabid squirrels on cocaine" - Listen to Renge from the Air Master anime.
This game seems to be the only thing where I actually enjoy listening to dubs over the JPN voices, occasionally, some voices don't fit, like Hakumen's, because SUPPOSEDLY if you're the same goddamn person as the other, than you'll share a voice with him.
Not under a mask like that. His voice is similar enough, but all the echoing under that mask might have something to do with his voice. Something else could have also happened in that time before he came into existance as Hakumen.
Yeah, I don't get why people change the voices to japanese...they are usually really annoying, even if the option is there I usually keep the voices english

I think Noel is TOO Norm, I'm sick of cute moe klutz characters with an annoying squeaky voice. If you're going for moe do it right (clannad), if you're going to be annoying, please just leave the character out! Well, at least nothing is as bad as Welch and Sarah from Star Ocean, those are the most annoying characters ever concocted

Ringe Inui from Air Master Anime
She's got it all:
- Annoying Voice (High pitched nails-on-chalkboard chain smoker squeals.)
- Annoying Personality (Only Food Matters)
- FUGLY Looks (Is it really a little girl or a demented chipmunk?)
- Cliche Character Design (Her mouth serves as tiny black hole for any consumable object in sight.)

For everyone hating on Noel's personality, I get that she is annoying, but that just makes her more real to me. Sure, most video game characters are more classic, like Ragna is the anti-hero, and Jin is the deranged psychopath (sorry Jin lovers, hes a freak!) but having a character that is different than the norm is refreshing. Besides, as Ovan said, shes cute damn it!

Noel isn't a good character, she's mid tier, just a really easy spam character. Also, she's my 2nd most hated character in the entire game. Her personality sucks, her voice annoys me, and she looks cute, but everything she does goes against it. I think the main reason for the hate is that everyone else fawns over her and loves her when she is really meh at best. Idk, oh yeah, V-13 and Rachel are so broke it's not even funny
V-13 is the best female character in the game, personality wise IMO

Not to try to start an argument, but from what I can tell, no character is any better than another. Each character can be insanely strong or incredibly weak, its all up to the play to make it so. I once thought Haku-men was broken because of his damage, but after beating my friend 37 times in a row when he played haku-men and I played Noel, it kinda proved my point. The closest thing to broken in this game is the difficulty tier of a couple of characters. Thats my opinion.

It's fine, the game is incredibly balanced, probably the most balanced fighter out there now, and if you ask any pro, all characters, except for 2, are pretty much even. Those 2 are Rachel and V-13, which are clearly the best characters in the game, every other one doesn't matter, it's how well you play, this is true. Oh yeah, if you care about tiers (I really don't except for Nu for a good reason), Hakumen is really low tier, lol

True. Noel has some nice invincible frames, which would allow her to slip past attacks and get a hit in. A skilled player would be able to time those moves well enough to render any spammed attack useless. A spammer going against a skilled Noel player is like a newb going against a pro in DoA. The spammer will be countered, knocked into the wall, pummeled, and countered again.

I find her personality, which is quite possibly the shittiest I have ever seen for any character in any medium, to be far more annoying than any problems with her as far as actual gameplay goes. No offense. I like her design and think she LOOKS cute, but all that's good about her disappears when she opens her mouth and lets loose that disgusting trash. Noel isn't that broken. her chain revolver is actually punishible, and theres the reload time after the drive. The only way to end it safely is to either use, Asault through, or bloom trigger. v-13 is much more broken and Carl is also annoying with his infinite combo so i don't know why everyone is complaining about Noel.

Yes. Amusing in the fact that it's so true. This game wasn't rushed by any means as far as its production and yet there were flaws. Flaws that players found and exploited. This leads to debates about broken/cheap characters.

Basically, skill is the grand divider here. If you're not very skilled with any of the characters people get all pissy about in BB then you rely heavily on their easiest moves; i.e. V-13-'s sword drive.
And on the other side of the same coin here, if you're skilled enough, it won't matter if your opponent spams the easy moves at you. With enough skill you can come out on top.
So remember boys and girls, Bang Shishigami says: "BEHIND ME!"

Too true. Lately, at least, English voice acting in VG's has been stepped up to the point that we can no longer cling to the days of old - many of us still recovering from "All Your Base Are Belong To Us."
I'm honestly so appalled in general that some of the greatest Japanese voice talent is only heard in Anime anymore and how often Eng-Dubs seem to ruin that.
Never the less, this game turned out perfect. And speaking of "rabid squirrels on cocaine" - Listen to Renge from the Air Master anime.
