  • Nice car i play u pink slips u in that car and me in my supra?

  • @23bigblacknigga1

Sold this car years ago. I wouldn't have had much use for a Supra.

  • im going to rip out the heating and a/c on my mont is that a delete plate and you painted it black? or what did you do looks clean!

  • @Wmmhm

Thanks. Yeah, just made a delete plate out of sheet metal and painted it semi-gloss black along with the whole engine bay before I installed the motor. Also made the cowl extension out of sheet metal too. This is the part of the cowl that is removed when you do the delete.

  • What mufflers are you running sounds great

  • @GAG91690

    They are Flowmaster Super 40s.

  • can you tell me who makes the valve covers and the red wiring

  • The valve covers are a GM licensed product made by Proform. These are the chrome cast aluminum valve covers. The plug wires are Taylor.

  • is this standard or auto

  • I used to have one of these, stock tho... Now I'm thinkin regal body is cooler.

  • THAT is how a monte carlo is suppose to look.

  • This car is my dream into reality

  • sounds viscous! My monte will sound somethin like that real soon

  • how much do you want for it...lol...fuckin beautiful car

  • loving the low idle sound

  • @HeltonsPerformance whats the webpage

  • freewebs .com/chromed88ss

  • @HeltonsPerformance can u give me a list of the parts you put on the car to perform fast and well

  • I have all the parts listed on my webpage.

  • i love how dis monte carlo sounds

  • Thanks

  • What kind of trans?

  • TH350

  • how many horses and torque dis bad puppy make?

    ?

  • Never dynoed it. But, I was shooting for around 450hp.

  • nice project. check mine out!

  • hey do you remember what kind of mufflers you had on this monte carlo and what size pipes.

  • These are the Flowmaster Super 40s. It had Hooker Competition headers, 2 1/2" pipe, a Hedman X-pipe, and short 3" turndowns after the mufflers.

  • hey do you know where i can get parts for my 83 monte carlo

if you do can you hit me up. thanks

  • Dixie Monte Carlo Depot is an awsome place to get parts!

  • this car is super clean just get those house rugs off the floor and get some nice floormats lol

  • LOL! Yeah, I had to use something until I got mats. But, I kept the rugs and sold the car. LOL!

  • OMG, I want, no NEED this car. Nothing like this car, it's exactly what my dream car incorporates. Drive it to the track, run 11s, smoke all the shitty plastic Hondas on the highway home, and go to work the next day!!!

  • @420witchdoctor LMMFAO @ "Smoke all shitty plastic hondas on the highway home and go to work the next day"

you just made my day, that was hilarious...but i agree, i love The Monte Carlo SS 3rd Gen

oh shit. that had me crying

  • @CinCBamaboy I'm confused, do you agree with my comment or disagree?

  • nice you did heat and ac delete like i did, wasn't that thing a paint to pull out of there?! hahaah

  • Gorgeous car... THUMBS UP!

  • @217zenki I couldnt agree more that thing is amazing ..

  • hey could u help me? i too hav a monte ...im trying to do my console like yours but not sure on materials or plan....i want to replace my speedometer and tach with auto ,keeping it clean.. thx

  • Well, I did so much to the gauge cluster that I can't remember exactly everything that I did to it. Classic Dash now makes a bolt in gauge mounting panel for these cars. This is the best way to go. The panel will have two 5" holes and four 2 5/8" holes for gauges. Jeg's now sells these panels.

  • G-bodies are awesome! I wish you wouldn't have sold it... I am the opposite of you, I have an old cj-7 and it gets put at the bottom of the things to fix today list and if it needs something major, well it sits awhile. Do you have any vids of the CJ? :)

  • Not yet, buddy. I plan on putting up some new vids of the Jeep, truck, and RZR soon. I still got to work out some bugs with the Jeep, but it has turned out very nice. Oh, I still have an all original '86 SS in the garage that I will keep forever.

  • I hope you have better luck with your jeep than mine, i never worked all the bugs out lol and the relatively recent ga floods set me back big time.

  • Well I have a few small bugs still to work out, but the Jeep has been my daily driver for about 8 months now. So, they are nothing serious. I really enjoy the Jeep. Sorry to hear about the flooding down there.

  • yeah nice car I got a88 mc myself and I was going to put a LT1 350 but I deciding I'm going with a big block 540 860H.P

  • what a nice car and that motor sounds sick

  • i would love 2 see monte carlo vs cutlass 442

  • man i would defintly love to see a monte carlo vs a buick grand national are regal

  • god bless rednecks

  • that mother f**ker is bad man....thank you for not f**kin it up with a bunch of stupid sh*t, its absolutely perfect....

  • what stall you are using and have your every time the car

  • I used a B&M Holeshot 3000 stall. Made a few passes on the local 1/8 mile one night. Best was an 8.53 at almost 100mph. Not bad considering I was running my street tires and it had a non-posi rearend. I had to get completely out of the throttle at the 60ft to get the car to hook up half descent. I believe the car may have run a little faster if I could have got it to hook. For a street car, I was happy with that.

  • that great ..it look and work great.. are you using full header or short header i was trying to find full header that find.

  • wow .. what cam you using it sound nice and is that stock brake on the car .. and how you get the brake to work . with i i have the same car and i you a electrical pump .. which Im still trying to hook up..

  • wow that great i wish my work right ..

  • This cam was a .515" Lunati Bracket Master II. Stock brakes worked fine with no vacuum canister.

  • thats sick

how much did u pay for it?

  • Well to start with, I payed $3,500 for the car which needed a ton of work. I probably had around $10,000 in the car before I sold it and that's with me doing all the work myself. The car still needed some interior work and new paint.

  • wat size is ur engine

  • .040" over 350

  • one of my favorite cars! do you have to run a vacuum canister for the brakes?

  • Thanks. One of my favorite cars too. Even though I sold this one, I still have one sitting in the garage. No, I didn't have to use a vacuum canister and the brakes worked very well even at idle.

  • That's a bad muthafucker! How much did you ended up selling it for?

  • You took the whole heater core out! nice lol to bad mines a daily driver.

  • mmmmmmmmm that car makes me wanna drive i have an 88 volvo 740

  • awsome finish

  • great car!

  • Thanks. I appreciate it.

  • Definately one of the cleanest i've seen, and I do have a soft spot for black muscle cars. lol

  • nice car put the stock wheels on then you got a nice sleeper and is it a small block or big block

  • small block look it says it at top...well it says 350 and that would be a small block

  • stock crank and rods?

  • Yep. I never planned on using NOS, so the bottom end was stock other than the forged Probe pistons.

  • can any give my the estimate price tag on one of these (80's models) ...?

  • depends on condition obviously but id say in ok condition about 4,500 to 6k

  • I bought the same cam for my 84 monte ss with 350. I was wondering did you need to run a vacum canister and pump with that cam.

  • I didn't use a vacuum canister on this car and I didn't have any trouble.

  • Was the Monte ever dynoed? if yes what were the numbers?

  • I never got the chance to dyno it, but I tried to build this motor for around 450hp at the flywheel.

  • Not bad, nice car man.

  • Thanks, buddy. I appreciate it.

  • man that shit looks and sounds good as hell. fa sho

  • the monte sounded awsome like the location of the guages in the dash

  • sweet ass ride!! awsome video wasn't boring!!

  • very nice

  • Thanks for the comments guys. It was going to a very nice car. It looked pretty good, but it needed new paint and new interior to finish it off. The drivetrain turned out nice and worked flawlessly. I miss this old car, but I enjoy the current Jeep project way more. Thanks for looking.

  • nice love those montes

  • sounds mean that was a nice ss what was the ticket on it when u sold it

  • Thats is rediculously clean!! Beautiful SS bruh. Thanks for sharing

  • awesome !!what have you got done to it
