everytime i hear this song think in the music actually is dying!! no sense no life no emotion ni passion!! i like this classic of the contemporanean music!! i'm only 25 years.. jajaja
1975 out in the middle of the Nevada desert 8 years old and listening to the radio the CBS or Sears Radio Mystery Theater and this song good times....
This recording has the BEST Bridge and Hook of any song i have ever heard.I actually found this as a re release on CD with a mega version of Sky High extended version,Jigsaw was so beyond a music consept it still blows me away, thank you for the posting, greetings from Oyster Bay NY
Great song, great video (filmed at the North Side of Heathrow Airport at the Penta Hotel I think! As I'm an old DJ... I been on with Jigsaw a number of times in the 1970s in and around the Peterborough area - they were a FANTASIC band to see live!
Wow <they are all wearing white suits !!! I am talking about the SUPERCOOL guy with the glasses !!! He is the dreamguy. super cool !!!! I think you are amazing ! What talent !!!!
Huge thanks for sharing the 'promo' video, I cannot believe I have spent nearly thirty years mistaking the word 'foam' for 'phone'..thank the gods they splashed the lyrics over the video! I only recently found out this was from a martial arts soundtrack for the 1975 film 'Man From Hong Kong' and they had edited the track down to 2:52 from 3:53, a whole minute of sublime goodness gone but luckily someone has posted the film version (check out the brass section!) on YT!
01:26 The lyrics should read: "Up Round I've Flown, Then Down, Down Like a Stone". I would hate to be singing those other lyrics about "foam" at my local kareoke bar. Hee Hee. Great song, thanks for upoading.
Great song, saw the film 'Man From Hong Kong' back in about '75 at Gants Hill Odeon (when there was one) first time i was at film where the audience clapped at the end - brilliant - thanks for posting.
The bass player lopped off about 10 lbs from his '60s Burns Vista-Sonic Bass (1:45), a criminal offense! They do weigh about 16 lbs normally, but what a sound....
You're absolutely right! I'm 52 years old and the music back then was so much better. The composition and the lyrics. A writter from the rolling stones mag. siad years ago that the best music came from the 70's. That's why there were so many one hit wonders. Ken
Every time I hear this song I can remember way back to when I was only 3 years old. I remember hearing it on the car radio as my mom & dad drove to Down Town Dallas to clean offices at night. It ws a new song back then. R.I.P., Mom!
I don't know what you revisionists are talking about, this IS the original version. I grew up in the 70's and heard this exact version about a million times on the radio.
You need to clean your ears and revisit a compilation cd. This is not the hit single version. Not even the start of the song is the same ! This version is covered all over in strings not on the original which suggests it`s the film version.
I love the fact that it was taped next to the highway, in the midst of shrubs, at the airport! pretty funny! I wonder if they had to keep from choking on auto exhaust fumes?
was 16 when i saw the film at the parade cinema in dennistoun , glasgow ... remember sitting in awe at the hang~gliding scene with sky high being belted out .. good film , great song .
WOW the mix is diff on this video. I'm not used to this mix. Is this the Album version? The single wasn't as heavy stringed, and without the horns. Interesting. Hmmmm
I saw on one of those infomercials Time/Life has it on one of the collections, 70's hits. Forgot who the front two announcers were but they love to get your credit card number, they'll have a listing
Absolutely! This is why Youtube rules. To find gems like these. The people who share these gems should be commended. This song takes me back to my childhood every time I hear it.
Its a great song - we used to listen to it before we raced MX back in the mid-seventies - and then we would go and blow a berm "Sky High!" - Maico's forever!
Yes, me too bigtime. I can't get enough of this tune lately, and it seems like the more I listen to it, the more I love it. This version's interesting b/c it's a different mix than the single, but they're lip-syncing. It's cool hearing those string parts. I just love this song.
saw these live in stoke on trent england..amazing version...is this available as this version

This song is so famous for middle-aged Japanese men, because
professional wrestling is very popular among us and it used to be
played when one of superstar wrestlers of '70s, the great Mexican
Mil Mascaras, appeared on the ring.
One of his offensive moves "Cross chop", is in Japanese called something
like "Flying cross attack" and seemed to us this song perfectly fit his image.
The song topped the Japanese hit chart, while virtually no one knew or even
was interested in who Jigsaw were.
