  • Hey FELLOW NZ'er, your sounding a bit like a bloody aussie!!

  • feel free to check out my accent tag on my channel!

  • i dont know how i got my accent (i live in nz) but it is not a new zealand accent :D im just weird i guess. but also glad cuz i hate it.. :O ._.

  • haha, this just made me laugh, looking at all the other tagged accent vids it was funny comparing back to NZ's haha.

  • We do have the ball curling bugs in New Zealand! They're Slaters :)

  • say six

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have watched HEAPS of Accent Tag videos, mostly American versions...and i piss myself laughing. Cos its like: ummmmm i dont say it like that, whaaaaaaat? And fully agree sneakers with jeans is a ...NO NO. Seen a lot of Amercian exchange students @ my school, and we were all thinkn: oh no they dinit!

  • Yes you are a mong :) We have the roll into a ball bugs, I loved them when I was a kid - they are called slaters.

  • Being from Vermont, USA, the native land of maple syrup, I believe I'm qualified to declare your pronunciation of "syrup" as spot-on. Congrats! :D

  • @IloveCopicmarkers PHEWWW!! :) I was a tad worried there for a while :)

  • @IloveCopicmarkers omg really? yess, i'm from chicago and i say "surrup," and people correct me saying it's "see-rup" and i always thought they were right. joke's on them! lol

  • hahaha yesyesyes we dont throw toilet paper coz we r just good like that

  • @tardyplopper Haha I reckon ae! None of that! Us Kiwis do have pretty amazing accents!!

  • aaaahhh yes us kiwis have the bestestest accent ;DD

  • You sound like a Kiwi version of a "Bogan".

  • @UpwardsFallings Hahaha, the voice, maybe, but Sam's too classy to be a bogan ;)

  • @UpwardsFallings Haha!! Search "Outrageous Fortune" if you want to see some Kiwi bogans!

  • Cool video :) I did one as well and mentioned you in it :)

  • @ItsMeKassandra Thank you very much :) I appreciate it!

  • Soda Pop! :D

  • @philipnewmannz Haha oh wow! What a name!

  • @GuitarsRockandLife My family is full of poms.

  • @philipnewmannz Oh nice haha! Same to be honest!

  • I've gotta say my favourite word to hear Kiwis say is 'Dead'. Mainly, I'll admit, because of the joke about it in Flight Of The Conchords...

  • @WikiRiffs Haha I never thought we said it even slightly weirdly! But you are right!!

  • Oh... and the bug that curls into a ball is called a slater! Apparently also called a 'woodlouse' so wikipedia tells me

Btw, you mentioned something about your b'day on your fb page.. was it your birthday on monday??

  • @suracs Thank you very much! Nope my birthday is on the 6th of November :) It was just going to be an early present, but I have decided it would be dangerous just before exams!

  • @GuitarsRockandLife Haha, cool, not too far off! :D and yeah, definately a dangerous move to aquire anything that may induce procrastination around exam time!

  • Haha, this is a cool game. You know, you Kiwi's say words remarkably similar to us Aussies... same pronounciation, just a different voice quality. And I had identical answers for the word meaning test!

  • @suracs Haha thank you very much! I don't have thattt many shoutouts to do so far! You're very right, our accents are so similar, but the questions didn't really show our differences! Chilly bin vs eskie etc haha

  • @GuitarsRockandLife Lol, really, you call it chilli bin?! I had no idea! Are you guys chilli fanatics or something? ;) Another one I've learnt is hiking/tramping.

  • @suracs Haha we do indeed! It's pretty strange... not as strange as eskie though xD It comes from saying chilly as in cold! Oh really which one do you guys say?

  • @GuitarsRockandLife Lol, eskie's normal! Maybe it comes from the word "Eskimo"? But haha, that's an unusual way of deriving a meaning! I guess it makes sense, given it's spelt 'chilly' and not 'chilli' as I wrote previously, lol.

And we say hiking or trekking. You mean you don't use the word tramping? I thought it was a NZ thing, but maybe it was just my NZ friend, lol.

  • @NicoleViciousIsDead haha thank you very much! I don't think I could take that the wrong way :)

  • I love your accent!! I would do this, but I have just a plain California accent. lol.

  • @kurrytv Hey! Thank you so much- nothing wrong with a california accent, they are really cool! :)

  • Bro, from a fellow kiwi, the answer to number 2 is a slater! They're those bugs you find when you lift up a rock. Overseas they call it a pill bug.
