  • Beautiful music, thanks for sharing!:)

  • Great posting Thanks

    Claude

  • Aaaaah sweet saaranghi, a gem of a share. and special thanks to Mr bsathien carin sendin me this beautiful concert.

I remain spellbound on the performances of Pt ramesh mishra and Pt nayan Gosh.

  • Jansamohini to the best of my knowledge.

In a way an uptempo Kambhoji. Another raga which is very similar is Kalashree, but what the difference is between the two, that's not for me to guess :-)

  • Its a tabla solo not a sranagi solo. Get over it. If you want a sarangi solo, please look elsewhere.

  • @tablameister shut the fuk up and mind your own business

  • @tabla714 I am minding my own business. No reason to swear and be rude. I have high regard for sarangi and for Ramesh Mishra. But you or I cannot change the fact this particular video is of a tabla solo. Yes, the saranagi is exquisite and someone should post a sarangi solo of Rameshji but that doesn't change the fact that this video is a tabla solo. So get a grip.

  • @tablameister actually sarangi is doing a lot more then usual in a tabla solo so id say its half and half

  • First 2:30 is sarangi heaven!!!

  • The tabla sounds loud and intrusive... I wish there was more alaap and the pure sound of sarangi... Thanks for the post

  • Excellent lehera. The variations of Pt. Ramesh Mishra brings tears to the eyes

  • Absolutely right about the lahara bringing tears to the eyes.

Is this Raag Kalavati? "Koi Saagar Dil Ko Bahlata Nahin" - Mohd. Rafi?

    Not sure...

  • this music doesn't even go to my ears... it goes strait to my heart and brings tears to my eyes....

  • cenkjeekhan! Thanks for posting this Video! Pandit Ramesh is one of the few people who have given the sarangi not only a voice, but unadulterated emotion to go with it. He is one of the greats who belong with the likes of Nathoo Khan.

  • I couldn't recognize the raag, but the handling of the saarangee is absolutely marvellous. Thank you cenkjeekhan!

  • vah ve vah!

    beautiful

    the nagma is amazing!
