and THAT's why it's called corruption. It's still pretty good idea to corrupt yourself.

While regular hypermode makes you near invincible, corruption loses the shielding but leaves you with the fire power, and since the Phazon will continuously filling, you can extend the time you have the extra fire power for a long time.
