Sorry to poo poo this but has anyone got any evidence that there is an actual god?? I'm a nurse (in the real world) and have seen such horrific pain and suffering so if there was really an actual god like person, i'd be scared, very scared that someone could allow what i have seen.

What point would there be to life if God just came in and fixed everything for us? Thats why he gave us freewill so we weren't robots we have choices on how to live our life and pain and suffering are often a result of actions of other people.

I'll agree that being a nurse it must be difficult at times. I fear the same thing as I'm going through my medical degree (and this year my faith will be challenged when I visit the ICU no doubt) but it's better to have hope that there is a divine love than that there isn't.

Also, you're a woman of scientific knowledge so I advise you to read John Lennox. He explains how science doesn't discount God and in many cases makes it more likely there is a God.
