I seem to remember some 'environmentalists' in the 1980's & 90's clinging to their catasrophic lies - as long as their books keep selling - Gore's books etc. keep on selling...maybe that's why he wouldn't come on the air with Glenn or anyone else.

wow i hate this guy. he seems to completely avoid the fact that starting right after 1970 some of the largest environmental programs and regulations were implemented by the U.S. government, so actually we have avoided some of the more moderate predictions (such as the sunlight prediction; look up Linfen, China). And has he even looked at the malnutrition statistics for the undeveloped world? incredible...

How are we to believe them now when they are crying about global warming when all the things they predicted in 1970 never happened.

Regarding the comment on mass starvation: about one billion people are currently suffering from malnutrition and hunger, and according to Wikipedia, 31,536,000 die from outright starvation every year. So it's not *too* crazy of a prediction.

Such exaggeration only hurts the environmental movement in the long run by underlying its basic credibility. There are valid environmental concerns but they are not helped by scare tactics.

Maybe the climate is changing. Climates have shifted on Earth -many- times, long before man was even a thought. There's not one shred of scientific evidence that man causes it by releasing CO2, the life-giving gas breathed by plants. Why is it a problem if there's .000001% more CO2 now than 150 years ago? There have certainly been much more radical changes than that over the last 100,000 years. Also, why does NOAA measure CO2 levels on an active volcano? Wouldn't that toss off the results a bit?

I am for green enery that works hydropower and nuclear produce far more energy than the one's you listed.

Congrats to all you Glenn Beck idiots that believe the US should not get on the green energy bandwagon. China is on track to pass the United States as the leader for production of windmill turbines this year make them the world leader...We also lost our leading position for solar energy under Bush and were passed by Eurpoe and China...its only costing America the chance to be a world leader for sustainable clean energy and MILLIONS of jobs and money....no biggie.
