I can see where this would be nice for some serious plug issues but, what if you want to clean the drain pan itself? Wouldn't it be easier to just have a vacuum pump hooked up while your cleaning the pan?
hey Dr Z I have a clog in my condensate drain which caused a leak in my celing, I assume from the drain pan overflowing. I believe the clog is from from insulation in the attic since I found a lot of it in the drain pan, will this pump be able to pull the insulation out of the condensate drain without any problems?
@AaronsAuto Glad to hear that. All we are hearing are positive results on the Mighty Pump. We are very pleased with the responses we are getting. Please help spread the word about Mighty Pump.
The Diversitech pump is a condensate pump that stays connected in the system, I think it is completely different from the pump the doctor is using. Great job Dr.Z on this video, the pump looks like a great tool to have available on the truck especially this summer..
diveristech has a new pump available that actually can tell how much blockage is in your line and ramps up the pressure accordingly, its electronic and not float operated. its a very neat pump
@DrZarkloff Thanks for ur reply! The reason I asked I sell lots of the traditonal vaccum pumps in a wholesale level for outisde the US market and I wondered if I could offer the "Mighty Pump" as a replacement since it is much cheaper @ $69.95 to my wholesale customers.
Very nice video. I normally just use my wet/dry vac for my 2 units here at my home in Central FL. Not sure if I would benefit from buying one. What do you guys think? I am not a HVAC Tech and it would be purely for personal use.
OMG I paid $119 dollars for a guy to come to my house to unclog my ac drain with a shop vac. I'm getting one. Thanks Dr Z they will sell millions of them.
Removing that impaction (roots) was impressive. Most condensate blockages I come across are stucco 'plugs' which require physical drilling with a masonry bit. Cool demonstration video, regardless.
cool. i could use one of them for me business. my wet dry vac dose a good job tho.lol. good vid. its horrid what you can find in condensate pans and drains. i did 1 in a cool room and 15L of nasty jelly stuff came out.
I like it. No more cords or running the vacuum like crazy wondering if you got the clogs. I like the push pull also. Thanks for the demo. I read about it, but your video was great. I bet I had 15 after hours calls last year on new installs that were condensate clogs. CLEAR THOSE DRAINS!!!!
i got a 1 1/ 2 gallon vac i got from wal mart but i have to take the filter out a every time i use it on a drain so to me this looks like a great product !
p.s. why don't you put a link to the site in the side bar we can click on to make it easy on us ?

TheManganga 2 weeks ago
@TheManganga Do you mean a wet vacuum? Wet vacs work great as long as you have power to run it.
DrZarkloff 2 weeks ago
It is hard to believe that the Mighty Pump is still not available at Home Depot.
Any thoughts why not?
acdrainpump 3 months ago
@acdrainpump It's a small company so I guess they're having a hard time getting the big stores to carry the product.

dr z how does the hose attach to the piping without falling off
balancepiston 7 months ago
@balancepiston You could clamp it on the pipe if you want or just hold it in place.

@MarilynKennedyNC83 I do believe that it could suck out what ever debris is in your condensate drain.
DrZarkloff 8 months ago
i just bought one myself, so much better and easier then the expensive co2 cartriges and don't have to worry about running out of them!

Coul this pump replace a traditional vaccum pump such as JB Industries or the YellowJacket or even ROBIAIRE in the functionality or application?
I would be very much interested to receive a reply??
