@OMGSergieeBogus iPhone 4S no way to unlock at this time not with hardware or software unlock everything out there is currently a scam.

The Gevey only work on iPhone 4 with baseband 04.10.01 or less.

(Settings > General > About... very bottom)

@OMGSergieeBogus Sorry there is no way to unlock baseband 4.11.08 anyone using a Gevey on 5.0.1 did not update their baseband by preserving it from 4.3.5 or earlier using a custom image when they updated their phone to the 5.0.1

@MrsCarnie I have a tray of about 10 or 15 Gevey in it and I can go through 3 or 4 before I find one that works in a phone... almost like the Gevey have an attitude and only want to work in some phones with some sim cards. Yet another Gevey that didn't work will work in the next phone. Be sure your sim wasn't cut bad and lines up well on the Gevey seen that before too. Best of luck.

Gevey sim sucks. I have the ultra and the supreme and as a back up phone its ok......but i looses signal all the time. Now it comes right back most of the time but 3 out of 10 times i loose signal completely and it will not work again unless u repeat the install process.

(restart phone or eject simm, wait 45 set for accept message wait 15 set dial 112 hand up put in airplane mode, wait for no sim message, the turn airplane off and your good to go in another 30 sec to 3 min)

@MrEminem121 It has to still be a micro sim but you don't have to cut the "corner" of the sim to make it fit with the Gevey no.

@dholaholic05 Only difference is your not suppose to have to redo the unlock procedure if you loose signal or power cycle the phone... doesn't work 100% and it's also suppose to be "better" quality programming on the chip to perform better.... do some reading and checking anyone that has tried more than one will tell you they all at random work the same.

@idjmic Well right now I couldent tell you because the plan I switched over from was for a Blackberry with Rogers which needed a specific data plan, Picture messaging should work im gonna try it out, all I know is that 3G is on and I havnt lost signal yet, when I turn on airplane mode the gevey doesnt need to be reset and also that when I go on the web it just says that I require a data plan. Im sure facetime will work.

@idjmic MMS works if your not seeing the little camera icon when your in the messaging app, you need to fix the APN setting for which ever carrier , mine was blank and not showing the camera icon, then i entered the right APN setting for mms and it showed up

@unibrow9 I think it's carrier specific because using the Gevey you have to put in the APN for the carrier or the 3G internet doesn't work... so when using / testing the Gevey we have always put in the APN using unlockit.co.nz

@keveyj from WiFi go to your safari and browse to unlockit.co.nz and create a custom apn for Telus also turn on roaming under General > Settings > Network if you haven't already.
