  • The Go-Betweens are who I think of when I hear the term 'endlessly listenable'.

  • Wow, these new songs are getting more views than their original 1980s stuff! Strange but there you have it.

  • RIP Grant

  • this is one of the songs u dont know, but u know u searched for them a long time...

  • I love this song at this time of the year, a time to reflect.

  • i've been looking for this song for years! i love it, i really really really love it :P

  • isnt it good to live at a time when a song like this exists .brilliant song brilliant band saw you many times.pity the charts didnt recognise you but thats a good thing leave that to girls aloud .

  • @ALDERSONPHIL At least their home town Brisbane in Australia has named a bridge after them joining West End and the city

  • I keep coming back to listen to this. Best Grant song ever.

  • Guy it is reasons like this song that I find it so hard to let go of you. Because when we were together, no matter how bad things were, that line was true,"don't know where I'm going, don't know where it's flowing, but I know it's finding you". It was the only thing I knew. So what do I know now? I'm lost. And the idea that one day you'll see me driving by in a car, would you bow and get in? It is an idea that I can't let go, I can't get past. I'm stuck here.

  • what a lovely song....

  • It's bands such as The Go-Betweens which make me proud to be Australian.

  • Hey gotta say Heck yes to that. I am American ( TEXAS ) but I will say that some of the greatest bands and singers have come from THE LAND DOWN UNDER.

  • This is the best song ever written

  • Love this song but it tears my heart out that it is one of Grant's last ever....truly a musical genius.

  • A genius of a generation, a credit greater than yet to his Nation, and a gem, never a costume or a way station, in one's evocation of love by way of peregrination. Ave, Masters Forster & McLellan (sic ~ :) ).

  • "Don't know where I'm going

    Don't know where It's flowing

But I know It's finding you"

  • saw robert play a acoustic set beside the brisbane river a few months ago,

bought my daughter along, first quality muso she has seen,

the go-betweens now have a bridge over the river named after them,

    well deserved,great aussie music

  • I'd sing along... xo

  • not in a dream but in a song

  • i've been looking for this song for a long time. it's beautiful.

  • Love This Share Gary..Thankyou...Anita..:)

  • Does it get better? Has it been better? A masterpiece of Australian, nay global, music

  • It took me a long time to acquire a taste for the Go-Betweens and I'm still not their biggest fan, but this song is just exquisite.

  • Easily one of the most lush and beautiful songs ever written.

    What a song....what a band !

    I love 'em.

  • My fav Aussie indie band..should of been more popular.

  • My fav Aussie indie band..love this song.

  • Hace no mucho que he descubierto este grupo, y la verdad que suenan muy pero que muy bien. Me atrevería a decir que tienen cierta similitud con "The Smiths", al menos su sonido me recuerda al grupo de Manchester!

  • i friggin love this song, jus gives me a buzz

  • i friggin love this song

  • I love this song. It has so much energy, positive energy.

Give me a Ford Thunderbird and I will cross America from East to West Coast.

The sound maybe could be better. More open.

    Best wishes from Salamanca, SPAIN!!!.

  • any australian with any musical taste knows this one of best local songs and bands ever

  • beautiful song - just discovering this band...

  • R.I.P.Grant McLennan

  • A1 kundenhotline...stundelang auf nen mitarbeiter warten o___O wenigstens is der song extreem gut ^^

  • No words to describe the way I feel when I listen to this song. Absolutelly one of my all time favourite ones!!! RIP, Mc Lennan

  • you can basically determine someone's musical taste by those who know The Go Betweens and those who don't.

  • but I bet there was a time when you didn´t know them! did you have a bad musical taste then?

  • @maida1982a well said!

  • @maida1982a

    Never a truer word spoken!

  • @maida1982a That is a very perceptive comment. I totally agree. How good were they!!!!! Pure gold. Respect.

  • @maida1982a agreed, a quintessential Australian band that did not tread the Commercialsim road too much and stayed true to their music, similarly Hunters & Collectors and therefore did not have the successful international careers that they deserved (at least not to dizzying heights)

  • @maida1982a

    Agree 100%

  • @maida1982a so fucking apt

  • NewHopeNashFan, I could not agree more. I discovered the Go-Betweens by chance in in 1988 and became an instant fan of them and Grant's solo work. It's criminal that they to this day are virtually unknown here in America. Grant's music has a very profound and deep meaning in my life and that he passed away so young is something that I have a really hard time accepting. The GB's music is what took me to Oz for 3 months. A country I fell in love with. Dunno if I can go back to Brisbane now. :-(

  • Robert Forseter's solo stuff is great, too.

Something really really Australian about it.

  • Gavgams, I don't have any or Robert's solo stuff. Can you recommend one of his cd's to start with? Cheers :-)

  • @gavgams - check out Robert's last album - The Evangalist, very good (and I've alwyas been more of a fan of Grant's songs and Finding You is one of my all time favourites).

  • @therodman70 ... ta, will do.

  • alter!!

ich suche das lied jetzt schon seit 2 jahren und habs endlich gefunden. ich höre das lied jetzt schon seit 2 stunden und es ist noch immer nicht genug ;)

  • DER A1 Song schlechthin, Hammer Nummer!

  • thnx for uploadin such a gr8 song

    luv it

  • The Go-Betweens are worth ten times their weight in platinum set with emeralds and Australian South Sea Pearls. Grant McLennan is one of the few songwriters in the world worth mentioning in the same breath as Brian Wilson and Graham Nash. (A great loss, by the way!)

  • Just beutiful. RIP Grant McLennan - one of THE greatest songwriters ever.

  • ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! I've just discovered this band, and WOW!!!

  • Does anybody know where I can get the tabs for this song?

  • This is truly one of the most beautiful "pop" songs of the last 30 years.

It's a shame that it wasn't a #1 hit across the globe, because it should have been.

I can't get enough of it, and it brings chills with each listen.

  • a great song...

  • The Go Betweens were one of the best ozzie band. Will be missed

  • I will miss you forever and ever and ever ever

  • Grant forever!

  • Thank you :) I absolutely love this beautiful song but know nothing about the band. Did Radio 1 DJ's John Peel ( or maybe Bob Harris) used to play this? Music is my first love - so true. Sue

  • oceans apart is a great album; the band had once again hit full stride, with even greater things to come, i believe-so sad about Grant, and bless Robert for being Robert-

  • WOW...

  • it's my favourite song....i love it...

  • My funeral song!!!

  • @meiguoren66 .. I had that thought too, but geez.. you'd bring on the tears.

There is truly something special about "finding you"..even the first few bars... a kind of wistful pathos?, a sensitive beautiful dignified humanity?

.. the tribute version is excellent too, which I must buy.

  • beautiful song. just listen to the lyrics

  • beautiful, just beautiful.

  • i cried when i first heard this

Ich weinte, als ich zum ersten Mal dieses Lied

  • thx for uploading!!!

  • awesome !

  • 5* :D^^
