I'm having a long night and I literally found this song by doing a Google search I typed songs with amazing outro's and typed the Pixies Number 13 Baby to find something similar and this came up fucking awesome is all I really have to say!
@cloob1000 what specifically do you mean by this? i love no.13 baby soo much and i am interested in why you think that. :) i believe the structure is similar in how the end is continuous chorus until it fades. is that what you mean?
@P1anetTelex yeah they're similar in structure, but i was thinking more about the hypnotic feel to both outros and the use of repetition to create this effect
hey, I'm not gonna go through all that "struggling artist" shit hoping for thumbs up, but please check out my music, you might like it....if not, my apologies...
i am proud to be one of the privileged people who can say, when they inevitably become bestsellers and top charters, that i knew deerhunter before they were 'cool'
Best tune i've heard for so time. I've been listening to the live version on the Interface. Its super.! Especially when the bass riff changes out of nowhere beauty!!!!
How do we measure the present? By what unit of time? If it is less than a second, then by the time I say, "This is the present" I have lied. Does the present even exist then? Maybe we are trapped at a dimensionless interface between the past and the future?
-^^^Thoughts while this track played... also, flickering lines. Not shapes.
@BGAKIRAKNOXVILLE This song is so beautiful, and yet doesn't go for the cheap listen, preferring to enter guitar solo territory at the end rather than repeating the chorus.
this is the first album in a while that i found to be so good that i listened to it on repeat for something like 7 hours straight and still wanted to keep listening to it.
@Videos5197 i feel the total same way about this song. i first heard this song when i was moving out, the lyrics fit exactly with how it makes me feel. im not ashamed to say i am actually brougt close to tears when i hear it.
@fashklash The fuck? The dialogue in Gatsby wasn't that in-your-face posh or oldfashioned or anything. Shit, it was pretty casual, it sounded like they lived a black tie party.
@ToasterToast Personally, I find Arthur a little dry. Dickens is one writer who can pull of posh and still be laid back and even funny. I think Tom's wife was pretty posh. She sickens me actually. ARRGH the hypocrisy of the american dream. Watch as it eats itself up in the form of a Madonna or a Katy Perry.
@Infuzor I feel kind of dumb to admit that I thought you were talking about the DeNiro movie.Hell I did not even know their was a band called the Dear Hunter. Listened to some of their stuff and I got to say they are not very good. That's just my opinion dude. They just are not as good as Deerhunter.
I need to listen to more of this band. I've heard them but don't have any of their stuff, which will change. I saw the name of the song and thought this might be a cover of the Lush song by the same name.
First time I heard this song. It's really great. Also, there are two different songs called "Desire Lines" and I think they might both be on 4AD label.
I am sensing a reference of lush in the name of the song being desire lines and the guitar solo at the end they are completely original in there own sort of way
Wow. I've only heard this and "Wash Off" but so far I'm really enjoying Deerhunter (finally). What a nice surprise after reading about them for so long!
Brilliant brilliant stuff currently one of the best bands in the business in my opinion. Something quite uplifting almost spiritual in their music, which is just organic and unforced. Magical.
bradford's eerie background vocals just rollllll over that chorus. that's the psychedelic sound to me, when the sounds bend all over the place. organic music.
