Schroder is a GREAT actor. That said, I never quite bought him as a comic actor based on this series, and from this clip, I'm glad he never tried singing as a 2nd career. His dramatic roles have always been, for me, "tops" — usually with kid-stars-as-adults I think, "Bit off more than he or she could chew". Still, thanks for the clip!
