I completely disagree about modern players influence, I've NEVER personally met somebody aside from myself that has even liked any of the classical composers. Actually I lived and breathed Mark Knophler, Malmsteen's albums were a revelation to m e and in turn,he exposed me to paginnini and Itzhak Perlman the violinist.In turn, these two pieces he played on his "Encors" album and I fell in love with them.The first two parts are violin arrangements I made for the electric guitar at the same speed as Itzhak Perlman.So,I love shred-but I also like mocking as well.I think people in this world like to have a laugh!
