Really elegant - They were tracking up too! I suppose I'm so used to seeing lighter builds that when a heavy horse is ridden it takes a little getting used to. I think that they look great when ridden and having their tail tied up like that reminds me of sumo wrestlers! "Clydsdales are the Sumo of the horse world"!
I think it is brilliant that heavy horses are being ridden and classes are held for them at shows. Clydes make great riding horses and love jumping too. Its a shame their tails are shaved though, but its better than docking them.
@Behemothpwns They hold their heads like that because that's how show horses are trained to carry their heads, they aren't always submissive about it. It's also more elegant.
lol i spent ages fluffing ma horses white feathers up at a show only for it to rain 10 minutes before ma class when we were in the ring they just got covered in mud ! like the horses in da video ! :D
im jelous, and i ride quarter horse and i dont know much about clydesdales but do they buck or rear like smaller horses? dumb question i know but there so big u would think they wouldnt be good at it
hi, there not as flighty as smaller horses, like for bucking and rearing, as they were bred to be calm and patient and therefore usally respond to there rider that way.
