  • best version of this song on youtube. :)

  • amazing!

  • i must say this is one of the BEST versions of this song,, your acting combined with your singing is brilliant ,, i hope your still doin it :D

  • This actually made me cry - Jodie Prenger didn't. Enough said!!! Great voice :)

  • Well done!

  • I have to sing this in Oliver at our local theater. I was very intimidated by this song I have watched several versions and I like yours best! The emotion and the Cogney accent that you put in your voice is spot on !! I think I will try it this way in practice to see what everyone thinks. Great Job you are very talented.

  • She kinda shouldn't have acted like that when Bill hit her, she doesn't really care if someone hits her, Bill does that to her all the time but she still loves him.

  • @WeirdGirl018 Agreed. My director is having me just get up slowly and advoid eye contact with Bill until he leaves. Like I don't want him to know how much it hurt cuz I can't let the man I love see that I don't deserve him. It just depends on your interpretation of it all I guess. The girl did a good job in her acting though.

  • This is amazing! So much emotion.

  • is there another lyric

  • ribmans woman says.......i dated this guy...til i met ribman. ican be proud of everthing he needas me for,and i was a sally!!

  • i believe this is how you should play the part of nancy, especially this song!

    I love it!! =)

    x

  • I love the emotion!!!! But your face is down a lot of the time. It's not just a little bit but along time!!! I don't know how people can see your emotion then. I like it though a lot :) You seem one with your character Well done!

  • this looks like a really god production :) we're doing this at my school next and i want to get Nancy, who in this vid is fab :D

however, the orchestra have no power, but it's okay becaus ethey sound good anyway ^_^

    xx

  • I prefer Judy Garland,s version

  • I want to be this woman. I think she's amazing.

  • wow bill is so good!

  • i'm at st.mary's but the primary in england your really loved over 'erre we're doing oliver over 'erre too and im playing Nancy too"!!!! Our music teacher told us to search you up on google and youtube and wooolaahh 'erre i am!!!

  • This Nancy is awesome!

  • you sounded great, but i think it was a very poor choice to start the song crying. besides it being very forced and inorganic, you had no where to go emotionally, and the song was thus one note the whole time :(

but again, great voice! so much potential!

  • I have to this for my musical theatre exam, and I wish I was as good as you ! Amazing xx

  • that was WONDERFUL.

i'd say the end was lacking a little bit..

but as you said, this wasn't your best night vocally... but that's definitely up to west end standards... :D

  • Gods investment in you(his son) was so great that he could NEVER abandon you!

"I will never leave you comfortless, I will come to you."

    -John 14:18

  • you're amazing!

i wanted to cry hearing you sing! you portrayed Nancy very well (:

  • Ms. Keane, I'm sorry to hear about the sore throat, BUT this was a FINE rendition of this song sung in character. Yours was a very individual and important interpretation of Nancy. Let me tell you why: this was the FIRST instance where I felt that Nancy was justifying her love for Bill to HERSELF as opposed to justifying it to the world. What did Nancy care what the World thought of the "likes of 'er"? YOU'VE made this a song about self-respect, and the choice to sacrifice that. Brava!

  • ha!

we used htis script in school :D x

  • Sinead here.. the girl from the video. Thanks for all the comments, GOOD and Bad... i will admit, this was a BAD night vocally for me... Developed a bit of a sore throat by this night (12 straight nites) But hey, thats THEATRE!!! hahah.... thanks again..... :)

  • sinead i think you were awsome i am doing a report on my awsome musical oliver and i am showing my class this video

  • Comment removed

  • @sinead16 Hey Sinead, jut viewed this video of you! Im auditioning for the very first time ever, for the part of nancy in a highly acclaimed dundee theatre group! Can you give me any advice or tips! please! thanks Jade!

  • @sinead16 you are Apsolutely Amazing, i would like to watch you :)

  • @sinead16 , your fantastic :)

  • Well ive seen sum professional Nancys over the years and indeed worked with a great actress in the role when i played OLiver many years ago in my 1st ever experience of professional musical theatre....i have to say this young ladies performance was definatly a very exellent and raw portrayal....lots of emotion and plenty of expression....perhaps a little vocally inconsistant on one or two occassions but still exellent well done to you seanade one of the best amateur Nancys ive ever seen.

  • She was good. At the start she brung something new into the drama of the song, but, not one of the best renditions I've watched.

  • where was this performed?

  • I think that Ruthie Henshall and Shani Wallis are better but Sinead's okay too :D

  • she had her face covered too long in the start :(

  • this girl is great love it

  • You have a very good voice!

And the dramatic performance was very good as others commented.

I think people doing this song usually go off key more, overfocussed on the Cockney accent, but you kept spot on the notes.

  • Hmm.... I still think Shani Wallis is the best Nancy. Sinead is OK, but I still really think Shani Wallis is the best.Sorry! :)

  • amazing job! i wish i had your talent!!!!

  • What an Amzing performance!; This girl Rocks!

  • a very good rendition!! very emotional!

  • AMAZING

  • Wow you're amazing. You sound a lot like Ruthie Henshall, my favorite singer ever.

  • well done sinead!

  • I love the way you show Nancy's emotion, fantastic how you acted through the song! Then the power built and that showed her remarkable bravery. I am extremely picky and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed that! The only thing is I felt the London accent dipped slightly, but I am still gonna give that a five out of five.

  • Looks like a great production....

    Excellent performance! Very well done!

  • Well done Sinéad & St Marys.

    Looks amazing.

    Vinny Osborne

  • Well done sweety xxx
