@3811iberis i understand that, it is best to try to be friendly, however most judges throw the book simply to feel that they have power. i don't believe judges should base a sentence simply because they swore at them because it was not why they were in there in the first place. though of course most judges do give additional sentence to people with bad behaviour.
@ultra dumbass I agree, a lot of them do "power trip", and they let their ego's influence many of their decisions, which is not right. Defendants, like this gentleman, need to understand fully, that when you're before the court, you're at the mercy of the court, so if you show any negative behavior towards the court, it will not usually end well for you, the lack of self control can cause you to serve unneccessary amounts of time behind bars, and it just isn't worth it in the long run...
@3811iberis i believe also a problem with the system is they say you must serve 50 years behind bars for parole. problem is the person in 50 years is not going to have much to live for except dying on his death bed. they should allow that on good behaviour you can do day parole. up here in canada you can be eligible for day parole after 8 of your 25 year sentence is done as canada the longest you can go with no parole is 25 years. many european countries do similar systems.
