It breaks my heart to see how few people actually capture what gives this song, and the rest of the movie, the spirit it has. RHPS is all about having fun. Just by listening to this individual actor, I can tell that he tried is best to keep that spirit alive. I will always agree that Tim Curry is the best, but that doesn't mean he is the only. Community and university theatres across the nation (actually, the world) have been doing productions of the play since at least the 1980s. Then of course there are the numerous professional productions around the world. And I don't think it's fair to call other actors copies. Before Curry played the role, Frank was just words on a page and thoughts in Richard O'Brien's head.

I have to agree with you about the thousands who have portrayed Frank-N-Furter. The man who played Frank-N-Furter in the original mexican production is INCREDIBLE, but the influence comes from the '74 production in L.A. and not the original London production.

That Brad is awful =x I wouldn't say that Frank-n-furter is all that great either, but it's a harder thing to pull off. A proper Frank-n-furter needs a feminine huskiness to his voice and that can be very tricky.

You know, when someone bashes someone for not having an amazing voice, that is singing a Rocky Song....Maybe they need to re-listen to the original? Amazing! I can feel the emotion in the singing! The singing for sure is different, but so is Anthony Stewart's singing and every other person performing Rocky Horror. Even though there will always be criticism regardless of how well you did, but at least you know that there are people out there who actually like your singing. What I like about it: hearing the innner hedonism within Dr. Frank N Furter. :D Bravo!

Well, the old adage is, "Make the role your own", otherwise in this case you would be playing Tim Curry playing Frank-N-Furter.
That being said, this was a pretty poor. Even though Frank-n-Furter is a Gay transvestite, he did have more masculine properties to his banter. Or, you could say that he was more WOMANLY, where as this performance came off as GIRLISH.

@JohnAndewwz Actually, the fact of the matter is that I'm currently playing Dr. Frank N. Furter for the second time. Even if I was a crew member, I would wear the shirt with pride. Crew members work their ass off, often times twice as hard as the performers with less than half the credit. If it wasn't for our crew, we'd be going out on a dark stage with no props or sets.

For something that you apparently did on a random choice out of boredom, this is fairly decent. I would be telling a big, fat, sloppy, stinky, maggot-infested, GAY, retarded lie if I said it was better than Tim Curry's, but nevertheless it's an enjoyable listen.
Although I will say that the deep part of the word "Transylvania" in the chorus wasn't great.

I have to agree with you about the thousands who have portrayed Frank-N-Furter. The man who played Frank-N-Furter in the original mexican production is INCREDIBLE, but the influence comes from the '74 production in L.A. and not the original London production.

@WizardofOzfan39 He actually isn't the first Frank-N-Furter. It was in London before th emovie ever became a thought in the all mighty O'Brien's mind. But I agree, only Tim Curry can completely pull off the Frank-N-Furter feel. Don't even try at that. You are a great singer, but some tips. This isn't your style. And second, don't try the dynamincs so hard. xD

That Brad is awful =x I wouldn't say that Frank-n-furter is all that great either, but it's a harder thing to pull off. A proper Frank-n-furter needs a feminine huskiness to his voice and that can be very tricky.

You know, when someone bashes someone for not having an amazing voice, that is singing a Rocky Song....Maybe they need to re-listen to the original? It wasn't about having some stellar award winning voice. Overall I think the singer here though did pretty good. No one is going to measure up to Tim Curry's performance of the song, so why does anyone bother bitching when someone doesn't?

Amazing! I can feel the emotion in the singing! The singing for sure is different, but so is Anthony Stewart's singing and every other person performing Rocky Horror. Even though there will always be criticism regardless of how well you did, but at least you know that there are people out there who actually like your singing. What I like about it: hearing the innner hedonism within Dr. Frank N Furter. :D Bravo!

Well, the old adage is, "Make the role your own", otherwise in this case you would be playing Tim Curry playing Frank-N-Furter.
That being said, this was a pretty poor. Even though Frank-n-Furter is a Gay transvestite, he did have more masculine properties to his banter. Or, you could say that he was more WOMANLY, where as this performance came off as GIRLISH.
Just some critique. I think that you do have enough there so that youy can work on

@JohnAndewwz Actually, the fact of the matter is that I'm currently playing Dr. Frank N. Furter for the second time. Even if I was a crew member, I would wear the shirt with pride. Crew members work their ass off, often times twice as hard as the performers with less than half the credit. If it wasn't for our crew, we'd be going out on a dark stage with no props or sets.

Actually you were not bad. I am actually performing this tonight at a workmates farewell. I have been doing this for years but I have made the song my own and I wear this hideous pink dress and these tacky green snakeskin high heels. (They are soooo ugly.) But yeah man you did not do a bad job. Well done. The song I am performing before it is Hillbilly Deluxe by Brooks and Dunn. Talk about from one extreme to the other.... LOL! (But I am wearing different clothes for that song.) Oh and well done

For something that you apparently did on a random choice out of boredom, this is fairly decent. I would be telling a big, fat, sloppy, stinky, maggot-infested, GAY, retarded lie if I said it was better than Tim Curry's, but nevertheless it's an enjoyable listen.
Although I will say that the deep part of the word "Transylvania" in the chorus wasn't great.

There's no denying you're no Tim Curry, but that doesn't by any means mean that you are a terrible singer. This is an incredible vocal cover, and a joy to hear. You have a pretty awesome voice.
