MSI GX 623 and GTA 4

[FIX] I myself own MSI GX623 and yes, I have experienced this problem too. I struggled with this problem for about a year but I finally found a solution. So:

1. Download a program called MSI Afterburner (you can find it at MSI website)

2. Run it. Reduce Core Clock (Mhz) to 600 and Memory Clock (Mhz) to 700.

3. Apply these settings. Don't exit the program. It must be running while you're playing the game.

4. Run any game you want. It won't crash anymore.

i have got exactly the same laptop but when i start up the game it laggs like hell any solution? (ive put the graphics on very low but still lags)

hey :)..... can you help me with one thing? I just got recently the laptop... but I have some problems :(. I've got installed Windows XP SP3....And I also have GTA 4 running at the same settings, but always, after I start playing the game, after about 5 minutes the screen turns black, and I can't do anything with the notebook.... :(.. I must get out the battery and after that start it....GTA 4 isn't the only game at what this happens. If you can help, or anyone else can... please reply Thanks!:)

@Lapu1776 If you havent fixed it yet, try removing the battery from the computer and connecting a wire to the wall and on the computer instead.. not sure but it may work

@TarikProductions, I'll try it, I think It's an ATi Catalyst setting, I made it work for a while. But the problem is that it happens the same at Crysis, Fallout 3, Left 4 dead (sometimes), Crysis Warhead... but it hasn't got any problems at Mirror's Edge, Burnout Paradise, Starcraft 2, Sims 3, even BattleField: Bad Company 2! xD! oh...and gave me a black screen even at Half-life 2 Ep. 2 when I swiched HDR on :(... It could be an overheating problem, but bought a cooler and NO changes :(

selle raha eest on jõudlust läpakal palju.

ütlen kohe ära ka selle et see rohkem mängimiseks kui mobiilseks liikumiseks pidevalt.

ise kasutan windows 7 ja selle jaoks oleks see läpakas nagu mõeldud.

muidugi hetkel panin win xp kuna win 7 ei toeta miskipärast veel ID kaardiga allkirjastamist ilusti ja sertifikaatide uuendamist.

32 bit kuna paljud programmid siiski ei jookse veel 64 bit peal ja driveritega ka ei tea kuidas on. pole katsetanud ega uurinud.

if i take down backlight also and just surfing non flash web and msn thn i have got also 2 hours :)

ofcourse some countrys you get this laptop with 9-cell battary.. i think. :)

im using yes 4 GB Ram and 32 bit OS.

only thing is that ,32 bit os is using only 3,5 or something like that from 4 GB .

but its no problem :)

the sound is in middle class or something..i mean inner speakers..but if u use headphones or externeral speakers then its good.

but its good laptop for playing and its not so expensiv..all games i have tried whit that is been working good(CoDWAW,GTA 4, Crysis) most games you can set graphics high.. im happy with that :)

origan speaker is not so good as i expected but if i play then anyway i use hradphones :)

and i can play most of new games highest settings.

and if u look the reviews then this laptop gets about 9/10 points. its good laptop for that price :)
