There's a boot-leg DVD of the movie on Amazon which still has the crappy original musical score, but lists "Hoover" and the "Glaser Brothers" in the credits for all the music - go figure? I'd love to find a DVD copy of the final production with the correct soundtrack.
@benedictscott HI benedictscott. Thanks for the heads up on the DVD. I will remember not to buy it. Terrible thing to ruin something good. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
Thanks for this video! Hoover is my uncle and we're still so proud of his work with the Glaser Brothers. Before the movie "Tick Tick Tick. . ." was released, it had a completely different musical score, which was terrible - so bad, they didn't even want to release the movie to the public. They decided to replace the entire musical score with the Tompall and the Glaser Brother's album being promoted at the time. It was one of the highest grossing movie soundtracks in the company's history.
Does anyone know what the name of the song they did in this movie that is playing when the guy sitting in the truck puts in an 8 Track? The lyrics start off with" You hit me in the face in the middle of the night. I couldnt sleep while you were in fight, and it's just in your mind..." I 'd really appreciate anyone 's help with this. Thanks!
@IwshIcldstrtover - The name of the song is "Why Do You Do Me Like You Do" The song was written by John Hartford, who also wrote "Gentle on My Mind" from the "tick, tick, tick...." soundtrack and of Glen Campbell fame.
I have this very album (yes on vinyl) as well as the movie "Tick, Tick, Tick" on vhs taped from a local station in 1988. It is never shown and I don't know why. It is a very moving movie with a great story and wonderful music. Thanks much for sharing this song with us.
@storrs19 Thanks for stopping by to comment. It is very much appreciated. I agree about the movie. I have been looking for the movie myself, and surprisingly just found one in DVD format on Amazon.
I'm watching it right now. It played on {TMC} Turner Classic Movies on Oct.6th. I'm glad I was able to DVR it. I believe that you can get it on DVD at Amazon dot com
I totally agree with storrs....it's a wonderful film.

These guys are awesome. There's a second generation of Glasers trying to keep the name and music alive. They call themselves "The Brothers Glaser".

Hi wilmaohman I just became aware of the Brothers Glaser, visiing Jim Glaser's website. They are quite good. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
