ok but what if an individual dousent have a religon/ dousend consider themselves part of a religon yet believes in many gods and goddesses believes in and practaces witchcraft believes in spirits farys dragons vamppires ect what can tht individual do in that situation
I wore my pentagram to school and in the morning my friend came up to me and said oh wow somtin somtin somtin y u wearing a satanic star!? I got really mad at tht I hit her wit somtin... Idr wht it was and I said it's not satanic it's pagan! And I got super mad at tht but I tried to keep my cool it's just that all the negativity on YouTube made me mad and I just remember them. But I'm proud to be pagan and I wear my pentagram. Everyday. Blessed be )O(
i really enjoy the anonymity with the outside world!
lol!
i have a few freinds that i can talk to about pagan things, which is important to have, but for me discretion and anonymity i feel to be a part of to know to will to dare and ''to keep silent''!
I was working at Social Services and was fired for being Wiccan, however,i was not fired, as they called it, but "let go," because i refused to wear my pentagram under my shirts while the christians wore their little gold crosses out of theirs.so not fair ! Alot of people feared me and excluded me in meetings, but when i was "let go," i dropped hints about the ACLU,and was not messed with since.
To Ms. Pixie, I honestly thank you for this video so much, along with your under 18 video. I had always been afraid, I've come from a family of very devout Roman Catholics. I honestly never really felt comfortable going to church, something just didn't feel right. I hope that one day I really will tell my parents what I am, maybe when I'm older, but this is getting my on the right track! Thank you!
I've heard the opinion that Catholics are actually pagan because of all the saints they revere. They each represent an aspect of life, and you pray to them when you want to influence that aspect. Not to mention Mary is a pretty significant goddess figure all on her own.
@MegaLewisful first, depending upon where u live (bear with me,I live in the South, the bible belt) take into account the type of kids that go to the school. Are they for the most part, christian ? if so, then keep the paganism under your hat, for now. Are they open to different things ? if so, then come out slowly. Go to the teacher/parent conference and watch the kids, and how they act towards your child. take your cue from that and best of luck !
Christianity didn't invent satan. he was an Angel. He was kicked out of Heaven at his own doing. If you dont believe in him it doesnt matter, because he believes in you. I was where you are for nine years, ten years ago. There is something wrong with it. Witchcraft is an abomination to God.
@jtdrummer2112 if it is such an abomination to u, why is it that you are watching videos on the subject? and if your ignorant mind, would pick up a simple book on the subject, you might learn something!
@jtdrummer2112 have enough faith in your own path and religious choice not to seek out people to judge or hurt. god(s) is full of enough love for all of us. pagans, christians, and all others. having faith in anything is more important than agreeing with everyones choices about it. i hope you have a happy and fulfilled life on your path. i just hope you can let me do the same with mine.
what if youre a teen and your parents are against wicca/paganism... because apparently, in the christian bible (somewhere in exodus) it says thou shalt not suffer a witch to live, and it also says youre not to dabble in sorcery... but im not christian... what do i do SOS !!
@jtdrummer2112 you are a liar and pervert the truth... couple things dude... "Satan" was the "Accuser"... God's prosecutor if you will, the head of all angels. Read Daniel, Paul, Leviticus... and notice the use of what person the author is speaking in... ( The Apostle Paul specifically says I"I am not with you in flesh, but in spirit)
What do you think the 3 wise men were bringing frankincense and Mir, following the stars??
Also, your bible says to not talk idle of God... you've done well...
I always say Ignorance is bliss...Respect is Love...I respect all who respect me in return...Kill em' with kindness...Christians can't stand it cause they expect us to do our voodoo moojoo on them when we don't they're confused...How ignorant can people be...They say we are the ignorant one's not quit!People who believe in Religion are followers...Paganism is Truly a Journey of Freewill!!! I do not follow anyone or anything...I'am My Own Individuality on My Own Journey...Period!!
Yeah, I'm sick and tired of hiding it for fear of what other people will do. My friends and family are all that I care about and if they want to disown me for it, then I never needed them in the first place. I've decided that I'm not going to run around telling everyone but if they ask me I'll will admit it with pride. Blessed Be.
If you can imagine a community full of your spam haters, that's where I dwell.I don't really live here, but merely exist, since their imbalance permeates every aspect of existence here.It would be suicidal to expose my beliefs in a system unlike their own that doesn't include jeeeeeeeeeesus exclusively. There's absolutely NO tolerance at all. Some other pagans have been driven away once they opened up,so the few here say zip...one gal with an herb farm was burned out of her home.Really.BB to all!
what if nasty ghosties f with you but you use pagan knowledge to stop it and it works, but mommy wont except it! but you want to be gentle. even if its a family tradition, ie my grandmother was a witch?
How do you get People to see that Wicca and Pagans are the same as far as the religion is concerned? My boyfriend of 7yrs thinks it's a bunch of crap. He doesn't believe in any organized religion and that's ok with me because we are not organized. I did however tell him that Wicca and Pagan is a recognized religion by the Supreme Court.
i told all my friends that i was pagan just this week when i took them to stonehenge for the summer solstice.. i was soooo scared what they would think and felt embarassed because im an 18yr old lad and thought they might think it was childish. but they all thought it was really cool. and i felt so much better and relieved and talked openly to them about it and wore my pentagram proudly. i feel great now ive told people and can finally share something which means so much to me
I think I am out, at least partially. My Mom knows, and has known since I began practicing and is a huge influence on everything, and even learns along side me. She had a custom altar built for me, and everything. My faith has brought us closer together.
But I am terrified of telling my boyfriend's family, as they evangelists and wouldn't even let him watch Harry Potter. I am so afraid. They love me, but I'm afraid that after I tell them I am Wiccan, they will tear us apart :C
I would try saying I'm pagan, but I've personally heard his mother speak poorly of a local pagan group that had been featured on the news. So either way I feel so trapped.
Hell invented in 15th century by catholics? a very silly assumption since there is a fiery place of torment in the old testement called gehenna, written like 5000 years ago, and later Jesus called it a place with lots of wailing, gnashing of teeth, and brimstone, which is sulfur. How would He, from a primitive time, have known that sulfur was at our core?
@HelloWerldLawl People probably just watched volcanoes erupt and smell like sulfur, etc.. Those were around for quite awhile.
Actually has anyone heard of Tartar - the ancient Greek hell? Its description is actually very similar to the Christian hell. So, the idea of gehenna was roaming around for a while in different religions including Paganism (such as ancient Greek religion).
@Alyssabeta Greek mythologies are just copies of old testement stories. Hercules is copied from Samson, Pandora opening the box originated as Eve eating from the tree of good and evil and unleashing suffering and death for her descendents (us, humans) Zeus is the exact same god as Thor, Jupiter, Raiden etc. Raijin opposed the gods (sinner) Jupiter comes from Lou Pater, sounds alot like Lucifer to me, Jupiter makes lightening come down and Lucifer was cast out of heaven like lightening. crazy
You know, I have been watching you for over a year and I really like you. I was raised in Christianity, for many years I have had a firm belief that there is no hell and that Satan was a creation to control the masses. People think you are a freak when you vocalize this. Recently I realized that I think I am called to this path, so my journey begins. Thank you. Noreen
Hi Thanks I really enjoyed your video - I'm so glad that getting out the broom closet is out there... an issue. Time for me to step up and live my truth to walk this path.
Wow, I really respect you for what you've said in this video. I'm what I like to refer to as "Christian-Baha'i". Basically, I was raised Christian, but I believe in the validity of all faiths that promote positive lifestyles, people, etc. If it promotes being a good person and living your life the best way you can, then I'm all for it! I pretty much believe that we're all praying to the same god, but that we all have different and equally beautiful ways of expressing our faith and living out our
@MsAlainn (Continued) spiritual lives. I really don't see anything wrong with Paganism! I think it's a beautiful way to connect with nature and the gorgeous earth we live on! It's an important part of spirituality!
I loved your advice about Paganism in the work place. It's true of any faith! Many people fear others faiths because they are either a.) Not open to the idea of multiple forms of worship or b.) Are turned off by the way that a certain people express themselves in regards to their
@MsAlainn (Continued 2) faith. (This is as true of Paganism as it is true of Catholicism and many other faiths!) There are equivalents to "bible-thumpers" EVERY faith, unfortunately.
ANYWAY, I think you're wonderful for being so open about your faith and for making this video to help others express theirs! Oh, and I definitely have ADOS, myself. ;)
im 14 and i live in UK , if i tell people at school they will bully me and accuse me of being a 'GOTH' because people go around school saying 'oh people who belive in witchcraft are goth' . But ive been into paganism for about 2 1/2 years because i know i liked nature alot and i wasnt sure if there was a religion based on nature ,i was researching wicca for a while before i found out about paganism so i called my self a wiccan im still learning paganism but i love your vids :) --blessed be--
@theteenwitch407 hey, im 18 and also from the uk, people never really knew i was into paganism etc but my friends new and they totally accepted it, you should ignore bullies, i know its hard because i used to get called all sorts, but (and i know this is cliche) but if you ignore them they will eventually leave you alone.
It was easy for me, mainly because I didn't know I was a witch of any kind. I just believed what came to me through personal experiences and philosophies.
you my good madam, are not just a credit to paganism but also to the progress of human thought. and therefore you deserve a brownie or a delicious sugary treat of your choosing as well as a free shinny object of any type. thank you for show we wiccans/pagans are rational people are open and more then willing to speak to others about our faith. mas kudos to you ^_^v
I recently have stepped on the path of being Pagan. I told my mom and bless be she is fine with it, though I try not to explain it since she might understand. I am a little nervous to tell people at my school like my friends cause they might just roll their eyes but this video helped, thank you!
at my school people are slow everytime i wear my pentacostal they all think its a "star of david" If its a kid i say "that's 6 points not five," or I dont say anything.
Everytime everyone says thats devil worship i just get mad.
My brother calls me "DW" for devil worshiper. my mom is all just dont talk about it around your brothers. She has threatened me for something of making me go to church with my Gma if i dont do this or something,
This is a great video!!! And i'm from Texas to, and i wear my pentacle and triquetra and lot of people like them.. but there has been people tell me i am a devil worshiper ...
and when i explain what it is to me they then see it from my point of view...
and told people that wear crosses.. which i have nothing against crosses.( hey you wear something that symbolizes your faith and this is mine,,, i've told people see it as my cross
Wow !!! Thank you About wearing youre pentacle, I wear my goddess because I know people wont get any ideas. But this video has shown me not to give a mokeys and be proud and show it off xxx thank you xxx
The unknown is what makes us stronger. We have the courage to confront the truth. Hell is man made. Satan is a part of mythology just the same. Love your talk about interfacing with society as a pagan. Blessed be.
@Jarediki the bible was written over a thousand years, not in one lifetime, it is many books. And no the "Satan" character as we know it was an introduction after the Roman empire took up Catholicism to include the pagan believers in the "horned god" and teach them their old god is the new 'devil'. There was a reference to an evil underlord known as "legion' that pre-dates the romans, but he was also stolen by the jewish priests to do much the same thing. Vilify an old god of a conquered tribe!
@Christopholaes A really good book to read on this subject matter is "The Origin of Satan" by Elaine Pagels.she really has done her research and presents a very thorough explaination of where our current perception of the "Devil" comes from and how and why it has morphed over the centuries. She is not trying to convince or convert anyone,it is a very academic look at religous ideas and their history that I'd recomend to anyone interested in the subject.
YOU R LOVELY!Seriously though,I ain't no Christian.I was once, and was training for the ministry, but then I learned a bit about about spirituality, about history, about mythology; and I realised that I cannot be intellectually honest and Christian at the same time. That all said I have to state that in MY OPINION,there is such a being as Satan. It's confusing,&mis-represented by most believers, but it exists. At least I believe so.Contact me PixieFlora,I would like to discuss stuff with you.A xx
Hi! Thanks for your being open and sharing your videos with us. Me.. I'm half in-half out of said closet. I don't feel safe with everyone knowing, but have respect for fellow practitioners who are so bold... Blessings!
hey, just couldn't resist commenting on this one...hehehehe.....i would love to live in such a religiously liberal society, in the country where I live there are 92.23% christians, 1.3% muslims, and the rest of religious paths are less than 1% of the population each......so even if I came out from the broom closet......it would probably be The Third World War.......in the city where i live in any other spiritual path is taken to be satanic, its embedded in peoples mind by the chrst. church
@MILNA11031993 You are not alone friend. When the chips are down and your backs against the wall, you do what you have to do to survive right? I hope you manage to find a way of either getting out of there one day, or of learning how to stand up for what you believe. In China folk meet in secret to read the bible and the group leaders risk life imprisonment and even execution for their beliefs.Kind of puts it all in perspective a bit don't you think?
@MrMephisto38 That was true a few decades ago no longer, shouldn't say it as if it's current. There is quite a large catholic population in china who are these days quite public about what they do and believe. Also it was only the forced and encouraged indoctrination of children and young adults as an attempt to introduce christianity to china. In other words conversion then conquer. Religion in this case, much as with Japan was a tool of the west to get leverage in the east, totally political.
@Christopholaes I will look into it. I do know from my contact with a friend there that homosexuals who are open about their sexual identity are still "dissappear" from time to time. I also strongly suspect that what we are told and lead to believe about the chinese state is not neccesarily what is really happening. The western nations are waking up to the fact that they cannot really afford to be too critical of chinas human rights abuses anymore. But hey, if I am wrong then hallellua!
it's hard enough to stand up to my family, just can't wait to get out of this house and find my own place after colegge, then i'll be free to fulfil myself spiritualy :) but till' then, I'm stuck with strict Roman-catholic enviroment :/
@MILNA11031993 u may aswell stay in the roman catholic religion, they are decieved into pagan worship aswell, just remember if you want to become a witch, nd then one day you want out, the demon spirits that you have allowed in will torment you like nothing you can even imagine for the rest of your days unless you submit to the truth of jesus christ the only true god who loves everyone
I wonder if u know "pagan" covers literally thousands of beliefs systems from all over the world? So saying "I'm pagan" does tell me at all what your beliefs are. "Wiccan" as i have seen it being practiced today has nothing to do with the old traditions it's just a mish-mash of traditions from all over the place! Many systems were in fact nearly totally lost due to the dominion of monotheism. So do you really know what your believing in? I'm not christian BTW, it's an honest question/observation
@Christopholaes.Good point well made! The way I see it is it isn't really the religon(or doctrine, or dogma)that is hugely important, but the intent and motivation and sincerity behind it.All belief and all ritual is simply a way of focusing the minds power onto a single objective anyway. When all is said and done,no matter how many Gods are prayed to,there is only 1 God(ess),and 1 Devil that really matter, and they both look you square in the eye every time you look in a mirror! But hey?If it works?
@MrMephisto38 But that's my point! It doesn't work, it's obvious, even if there were something to the ancient animalistic religions, the practices have been lost or confused centuries ago. The christians had a good hand in making sure it was wiped out! My point was that many people try to take this stuff very seriously, yet in a historical context the info around today is laughable as 'wiccan', 'pagan' whatever. You can't focus a confused and ill-informed mind to do anything of any real use!??
@Christopholaes Depends what you are after though doen't it?If your goal is to be a more contented, complete&potent individual then it(religion/magic)can&does occasionally work.If your goal is to make sense of&validate the pain of your own existence/experience then religion can&does occasionally work.If your goal is to justify your actions then religion usually works&if your goal is to get revenge or to achieve what is currently beyond your own power, then so does magic!Thats my experience any way
@MrMephisto38 Well all you said was that people can delude themselves into thinking they gained a positive effect. And you seem to be suggesting as long as that effect IS positive and they are happy believing it it's ok? No sorry a delusion is a delusion, and they are ALL potentially dangerous and many times harmful! Wishful thinking is also just silly for so many reasons i can't spell it out here. Also, adding beliefs based on fallcies does not make someone more "complete" just more confused!
@Christopholaes Ah, I like you. So you are certain about what is real and what is delusion yeah? mmmm. I wish I had such confidence in my own knowledge! As S.Jason Black once said "If I get in my car and turn the key in the ignition one hundred times and it starts one hundred times, then coincidence becomes irrelevant." I would add, so does belief, so does delusion, so does knowledge. This whole damn world is just some big daydream anyway! (In my humble and uncertain opinion!) :-)
2-they drowned her out when she said "I don't believe in the devil they said "yeah that's devis work" "you believe in a horned God that IS the devil!" "He's a liar" I interjected "She is right!" She moved shortly after (prob back to Pa) & I have no comraderie. She was a pariah here. I cannot step into those shoes, I amsure they already suspect (by their treatment, by my contribution) we have already had incidences of bullying. I cannot make it worse for my kids in such an ignorant setting! :-(
@CharmingPixieFlora Thank you beautiful and precious Flora, I am very touched by your response , it means a lot to me. You cannot imagine how saddened I am by all this...my free spirit cannot truly fly...I feel my kids are cheated out of my natural joy. I am trying to get hubby and family out of here in the worst way. I do actually do what you say...I send out love...I bless them...I put a white light around my family. That is all I can do right now. Thank you again.
@CharmingPixieFlora. Bless ya luv,I know you will continue to do so because that is the kind of person you are,& thanks to all the Gods for folk like you!Personally,if this dick-wad said this kind of crap to me they wouldn't get a very loving response. But then, that is the kind of person I am,& it is something I need to work on.Just cannot deal with such arrogant bigotry and hypocrisy,it really pisses me off. Then again,I am a hypocrite because I was once that soldier!O the bliss of ignorance eh?
@CharmingPixieFlora hang on...am I missing this persons point/ maybe I read it wrong. I have had a few long drinks tonight so maybe it is better if I just shut up now? Peace and love to you all!
@CharmingPixieFlora hang on...am I missing this persons point?maybe I read it wrong.I have had a few drinks 2night so maybe it is better if I just shut up now?Peace and love to you all!I thought at first they were having a go,but no,it was my drunken, brain addled state that got things mixed up!I have just completed a working that I should have finished a while back, but hey?It is possible to get too hung up on stuff you know?I think it is importnat that we enjoy what we do,else what is the point?
@CharmingPixieFlora How about less 'prayers' and more action, don't complain to u-tube, complain to the anti-discrimination board, or the ACLU! Do something about it! See they win, she's moving then all the people in that community can feel justified in their beliefs and carry on being horrible people as no -one challenges them. That's how these insular communities get worse over time! You cannot send someone understanding who has NONE. Also with no incentive to gain any. Platitudes aid no-one!
1-i live in the south & the school my kids in is very christian cliquey. a lot of the folks attend the same church, go to each others 4th of july/labor day weekend parties etc. My family is never invited & we are not even "out" we are just "suspected" as not being one of them. there was a pagan mom here, when we just got into this school (she's moved) & she trued to educate them. you cannot even talk to them about satan being a 14th centurey ploy, they see this as HISTORY, reality.
@RainCitrina - thanks for bringing that up, I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to be opening a small business (green cleaning) and at first I was going to put that I'm pagan on my facebook page but then...eh...If I go the whole way of having customers friend me, I could lose business :( It's ashame. You hate to be paranoid but that is just the way of the world.....
ahahaha that was so adorable! your little puppy in the background wanted to be in the shot too! ahaha nice video by the way! very inspirational! blessed be )o(
when i was in school, I wore my pentacle and noticed everyone stared at me. But my school is a lil more chill so my friends and family were okay with it.
You mentioned believing in Summerland. If you have a chance, I'd like to see a video on that. I've heard of it in passing on the internet in writing, but never heard anyone speak of it, so I don't know much of it. Thanks for your videos by the way. Kind of encouraging to see you practicing openly and raising your kids around it too.
Great Video. I'm fortunate enough to have a very open-minded Family. I live with my mum who is a great beliver in 'everybody has a right to belive what they want'. My dad doesn't like Wicca he thinks its very 'childish' but he says it about all religions so I don't care that much. My cousins are Christian and even they are fine with it. I guess I'm very lucky to have such an open-minded and loving family. (School is a whole different story) Anyway Great video.
I'm not really in the broom closet but, i still have not told my mother....i'm not sure how she is going to take it. I want to explain to her that we are not what the "haters" say we are. but i don't think she'll listen to me.
Thank you so much for posting this video. I recently transferred to a Lutheran high school (I'm an exchange student from Australia to America) and have been having a really hard time 'coming out' to my family and friends. You've given me hope that I can be comfortable with myself and my religion. You're an inspiration :)
Excellent video and very well said. I am an open witch/pagan in Texas also and in a very small Christian town at that so I understand the misconceptions people have but the way I see it is if they aren't open minded enough to at least learn about it before they spout off then they are the ignorant ones. They just had a new article saying that atheists know more about other religions that those of their religions know about their own. Too bad they didn't include Pagan in that group since they ar
i wass wearing my pentagram, *wiccan btw* and a person asked me, hey are u satanist, i said no, and he said do you like walk around fires with your eyes behind your head >.>...
Just had to say thank you for posting this. I just started a new job and am cautious about wearing my pentacle in public- i was asked once about it and as soon as i said pagan, before i had the chance to explain i saw the interest in their eyes fade and they shut down. We were at work and she immediately turned to her paperwork.
I notice people have scriptures posted in their offices and cubicles and i am taking your idea of posting the rede as well as the charge of god and goddess. Thanks!
When I took up Paganism/Wicca (I call myself both, so......) I thought I would get hate at school. Recently, I got a new book, and it's pretty long. I didn't have much time to read at home, so I brought it to school. A girl asked me what I was reading, so I showed it to her. She went, You're a witch? You do magic? Can you show me how? And I explained to her, and she went, Oh. Then she left me alone.
''they dont tell what the craft is about'' haha of corse thay dont its hollywood :D and almost every die hard i know was cathlic :) so id agree with that. thx so much for the video :)
I agree with your points in the vid. Look at what others wear/have. At work, I wear my pentacle, just as the others wear their crosses. This 1 time, I parked my car with my wooden pentacle hanging from my rear view mirror next to a car w/ a cross hanging from it's mirror. I worked with this girl that day, and we got along pretty well. @ the End of the day we walked out to our cars and it turns out she owned the car next to me. Co-existence at its finest!
i think the baphomet(the upside down pentagram) was originated with the Knights Templar and is not evil at all. Im in Texas btw dfw area and have found only a few pagans here. My entire family is Christian and my mom and closest sister only know my religion and even they accuse me of devil worship :(. how can i expect others to except me if my closest family wont. id rather keep it to myself just to not waste energy defending my belief which utterly destroys it for me
The only thing that I can see this not applying to is my situation as a small business owner. I have a medical massage clinic in a small southern town. I just stay neutral.
I loved this video. I am openly pagan at school ( I wear my triple moon necklaces and talk about it with some of my friends who are also following a witchy religion :) but I haven't told my parents. I practice magick with candles and cast circles but secretly. I want to tell them soooo bad, but I'm scared. Not of what they'll think, but what they'll say or how I approach them and say it. I'm still I'm middle school (yikes, but don't think that I made this decision becuase it was trendy... My ot
Thank you. I know obviously you put this up a year ago, but i just stumbled on it. I was really unsure about wearing my pentacle and other jewelry at school. Im really timid about telling anyone. Monday Im going to school with my necklace, loud and proud! (: Thanks Flora. You are such an influence on my practice. Thank you so much.
Very well said, I agree with everything you have said here. The burning times were over a long time ago and here in the UK it is no longer illegal to be a Witch so why shy away from the truth. Christians, Catholics and everyone else have been strutting their stuff for a long time, it's about time we came out and stood up to be counted, we are on the whole a good people, many without violance and ill intent and should be allowed to live our lives just like everyone else.
Don't know if you've read it or not, but another great book that fits this topic is: Out of the Broom Closet: 50 True Stories of Wiches Who Found and Embraced the Craft, by Arin Murphy-Hiscock. It's a really good read. It helped me see Paganism from 50 different points of view, and it helped me also to affirm what I truely felt within my heart and decide on my own eclectic path. Just reading it made me proud of my path, and I finally decided to "come out" to my freinds and family. Blessings!
Thanks for this video. I was raised in the church and finally about 10 years after leaving the church I'm getting the nerve to explore other religions. Paganism has always called me. I have just started with runes, and I am really excited to learn more. :)
Hi! Just saw this and loved it. I have been a wiccan since the age of thirteen. However, I am Northern irish and live in a country where religion is a HUGE deal. I am also a teacher and a lot of schools probably wouldn't even employ me if they knew. In addition to this, my family is catholic and would go nuts. However, you video has made me see that I have nothing to be ashamed of, I have a right to believe what I want to. Thank you!
yeah its hard to make friends in the south, i live in south carolina and my whole school except for a few people are afraid of me, regardless of me trying to explain what it is. im so glad for youtube.
what about the rede... why is everyone forgetting the rede... "by hidden quintessence we know them and will and keep and dare" keep silent, its none anyones business
School is for LEARNING. Work is for DOING WHAT YOU'RE PAID TO DO - period!
Religion of any sort does not belong anywhere in either case.
ANYONE who displays or advocates any sort of religious CRAP at school or at the workplace should be removed from the location and instructed that they will not be allowed back until they show up minus the icons, symbols, etc.
@GaleZMe lol, what planet are you on? The school can't display or advocate for any specific religion - separation of church and state. That doesn't mean the students can't be who they are and wear a necklace that represents their faith.
@usamuun NO ONE "IS" A "RELIGION". Let me make this clear to you - STUDENTS are human beings, not "witches". They may believe and practice "witchcraft", but they are human beings - period. Therefore, a necklace or other junk carrying symbols is not PART OF THEM, it is only PART OF THEIR BELIEFS, and those beliefs do NOT have any place in school. Students should arrive dressed in school attire and after school they can regale themselves in every manner of religious garbage they want.
@GaleZMe I never said it's all of who they are, so please stop putting words in my mouth to argue them. I said it doesn't mean they can't be who they are. Religion/beliefs are part of their personal identity, whether you like that fact or not. Who they are as individuals IS who they are as people. People have a tendency to like expressing themselves. Your personal preference for uniformity and stifling personal freedoms is just yours, and it's not how America's public school system does things.
@usamuun Yes, that's right - people have a tendency to express themselves, and look at the condition of learning in our country and the so-called "Graduates" who can't read, write, add or subtract, or reason! THAT is what happens when school is used as a platform for everything EXCEPT LEARNING: when students attend with concerns about being noticed and about self-expression rather than LEARNING.
Go to Japan and look at how the students dress there. Look at their level of achievement too. THEN
@usamuun see if you can defend nonsense like whimsical costuming and all related issues in connection to American students. The Japanese schools have strict dress codes. There's a reason for this. Its to keep the minds of the students on what they're supposed to learn, not on who is wearing what and why. That's why they do LEARN in Japanese schools. American schools? What a joke !
This country used to be great. Now its third-rate and slipping. But heck, when all those self-expressive students
@usamuun become adults and have no jobs, no skills, and their country is a Third World sewer, they can at least take comfort that during their childhoods and teen years, they got to wear all their religious ornaments instead of paying attention to what they needed to become citizens who could keep the nation going.
@GaleZMe Even Japanese students are allowed a certain level of uniform customization, and they are most definitely allowed to wear religious jewelry. There are much larger, relevant differences between Japanese and American schools. The fact that you're blaming the failure of our education system on individual dress is ridiculous and shows you have absolutely no handle on what you're talking about at all. Instead of blabbering on for three comments about red herrings, try doing more research.
@GaleZMe very well put. And I am all for uniforms in school. The competition with clothing and trends is too distracting. And really, the majority of kids who think they are "witches" are going thru a phase, and are just attracted to the props, the theatrical, and the shock value - typical teens. If they couldn't rub it in everyones face, they probably wouldn't be interested.
I fought my father for years. Im only 18 but I knew I was a witch in heart since I was about 12. Im a cashier, and I proudly wear my pentegram necklaces, and I have gotten quite a few customers ask me if I was proud to go to hell. The best advice I could give is know yourself. Know what you believe. Do no let other people think they can bring you down.
@DaBlonde1019 i have always known since i was very little too, i just didnt know there were other people out there like me until this year actually. I am 16 and am also proud to be a pagan, regardless of people at school talking about burning me.
@fervent66 I was a little scared to come out of the broom-closet myself, but I did anyway. And for the most part, I have received very positive feedback. :) Blessings, and good luck!
I live in Georgia, in an are that has a good amount of right-wing Christian folk, and have been afraid to wear a pentacle or anything. This video makes me feel so much better! thanks!
If you don't mind me asking? where is it that you are?? of course, you don't have to answer.
once again thanks for the video and this was very informational. i just converted from christianity to paganism i feel that i am closerto be wiccan than any other categorey under paganism but belive in many goddesses and gods. blessed be
Because my family is so very Catholic, I am avoiding telling them of my faith for as long as possible! I started practicing Reiki and was told that was witchcraft, so I know what would happen if I said I was actually a witch lol
Also now I have started wearing my pentacle to school! I realised my friends were wearing crosses! So it's just as fair to wear my petacle! So I defo agree! BB )O(
Good Goddess, you're right. People are terrified of change. I had the worst time of coming out to my mom but after five years she's finally accepted it and is much more tolerant. And now that everyone knows and I'm open about it I don't have to be afraid of what they think. Being in the open really is blissful.
When I told my mum it was kinda funny! I really thought she was gonna be against it! But she actually joked about it...like I would ask her if she could drive me to my friends house and she would be like "why can't you fly there on your broomstick!" lol But I'd rather she joked about it than FORBID me to practice wicca! lol But she has been really understanding and supportive of it! yay! =D
ok but what if an individual dousent have a religon/ dousend consider themselves part of a religon yet believes in many gods and goddesses believes in and practaces witchcraft believes in spirits farys dragons vamppires ect what can tht individual do in that situation

Idr wht it was and I said it's not satanic it's pagan! And I got super mad at tht but I tried to keep my cool it's just that all the negativity on YouTube made me mad and I just remember them.

@MegaLewisful prepare them by not allowing them to be an abomination to God.
jtdrummer2112 3 months ago

Witchcraft is an abomination to God.
jtdrummer2112 3 months ago
@jtdrummer2112 if it is such an abomination to u, why is it that you are watching videos on the subject? and if your ignorant mind, would pick up a simple book on the subject, you might learn something!
reneenay6600 3 months ago
@jtdrummer2112 have enough faith in your own path and religious choice not to seek out people to judge or hurt. god(s) is full of enough love for all of us. pagans, christians, and all others. having faith in anything is more important than agreeing with everyones choices about it. i hope you have a happy and fulfilled life on your path. i just hope you can let me do the same with mine.

HelloWerldLawl 8 months ago
@HelloWerldLawl People probably just watched volcanoes erupt and smell like sulfur, etc.. Those were around for quite awhile.
Actually has anyone heard of Tartar - the ancient Greek hell? Its description is actually very similar to the Christian hell. So, the idea of gehenna was roaming around for a while in different religions including Paganism (such as ancient Greek religion).
Alyssabeta 7 months ago
@Alyssabeta Greek mythologies are just copies of old testement stories. Hercules is copied from Samson, Pandora opening the box originated as Eve eating from the tree of good and evil and unleashing suffering and death for her descendents (us, humans) Zeus is the exact same god as Thor, Jupiter, Raiden etc. Raijin opposed the gods (sinner) Jupiter comes from Lou Pater, sounds alot like Lucifer to me, Jupiter makes lightening come down and Lucifer was cast out of heaven like lightening. crazy
HelloWerldLawl 7 months ago
You know, I have been watching you for over a year and I really like you.
Christopholaes 1 year ago
@Christopholaes A really good book to read on this subject matter is "The Origin of Satan" by Elaine Pagels.she really has done her research and presents a very thorough explaination of where our current perception of the "Devil" comes from and how and why it has morphed over the centuries. She is not trying to convince or convert anyone,it is a very academic look at religous ideas and their history that I'd recomend to anyone interested in the subject.

MrMephisto38 1 year ago
@MrMephisto38 That was true a few decades ago no longer, shouldn't say it as if it's current. There is quite a large catholic population in china who are these days quite public about what they do and believe. Also it was only the forced and encouraged indoctrination of children and young adults as an attempt to introduce christianity to china. In other words conversion then conquer. Religion in this case, much as with Japan was a tool of the west to get leverage in the east, totally political.
Christopholaes 1 year ago
@Christopholaes I will look into it. I do know from my contact with a friend there that homosexuals who are open about their sexual identity are still "dissappear" from time to time. I also strongly suspect that what we are told and lead to believe about the chinese state is not neccesarily what is really happening. The western nations are waking up to the fact that they cannot really afford to be too critical of chinas human rights abuses anymore. But hey, if I am wrong then hallellua!

Christopholaes 1 year ago
@Christopholaes.Good point well made! The way I see it is it isn't really the religon(or doctrine, or dogma)that is hugely important, but the intent and motivation and sincerity behind it.All belief and all ritual is simply a way of focusing the minds power onto a single objective anyway. When all is said and done,no matter how many Gods are prayed to,there is only 1 God(ess),and 1 Devil that really matter, and they both look you square in the eye every time you look in a mirror! But hey?If it works?
MrMephisto38 1 year ago
@MrMephisto38 But that's my point! It doesn't work, it's obvious, even if there were something to the ancient animalistic religions, the practices have been lost or confused centuries ago. The christians had a good hand in making sure it was wiped out! My point was that many people try to take this stuff very seriously, yet in a historical context the info around today is laughable as 'wiccan', 'pagan' whatever. You can't focus a confused and ill-informed mind to do anything of any real use!??
Christopholaes 1 year ago
@Christopholaes Depends what you are after though doen't it?If your goal is to be a more contented, complete&potent individual then it(religion/magic)can&does occasionally work.If your goal is to make sense of&validate the pain of your own existence/experience then religion can&does occasionally work.If your goal is to justify your actions then religion usually works&if your goal is to get revenge or to achieve what is currently beyond your own power, then so does magic!Thats my experience any way
MrMephisto38 1 year ago
@MrMephisto38 Well all you said was that people can delude themselves into thinking they gained a positive effect. And you seem to be suggesting as long as that effect IS positive and they are happy believing it it's ok? No sorry a delusion is a delusion, and they are ALL potentially dangerous and many times harmful! Wishful thinking is also just silly for so many reasons i can't spell it out here. Also, adding beliefs based on fallcies does not make someone more "complete" just more confused!
Christopholaes 1 year ago
@Christopholaes Ah, I like you. So you are certain about what is real and what is delusion yeah? mmmm. I wish I had such confidence in my own knowledge! As S.Jason Black once said "If I get in my car and turn the key in the ignition one hundred times and it starts one hundred times, then coincidence becomes irrelevant." I would add, so does belief, so does delusion, so does knowledge. This whole damn world is just some big daydream anyway! (In my humble and uncertain opinion!) :-)

Haha, I love your 'ADOS' quotes.
As far as your video, I find this a nice thing to watch after just waking up, drinking koolaid, and getting ready for the weekend that awaits.
This is very informative and believe me when I say I am transitioning into being open. I've been in the past...um..semi-open?
Hehe XD
Also I am trying to find other pagans from around youtube to ask if I may add them so we can share thoughts on topics and learn from one another.

Blessings!

Hi! Just saw this and loved it. I have been a wiccan since the age of thirteen. However, I am Northern irish and live in a country where religion is a HUGE deal.
GaleZMe 1 year ago
@GaleZMe lol, what planet are you on? The school can't display or advocate for any specific religion - separation of church and state. That doesn't mean the students can't be who they are and wear a necklace that represents their faith.
usamuun 1 year ago
@usamuun NO ONE "IS" A "RELIGION". Let me make this clear to you - STUDENTS are human beings, not "witches". They may believe and practice "witchcraft", but they are human beings - period. Therefore, a necklace or other junk carrying symbols is not PART OF THEM, it is only PART OF THEIR BELIEFS, and those beliefs do NOT have any place in school. Students should arrive dressed in school attire and after school they can regale themselves in every manner of religious garbage they want.
GaleZMe 1 year ago
@GaleZMe I never said it's all of who they are, so please stop putting words in my mouth to argue them. I said it doesn't mean they can't be who they are. Religion/beliefs are part of their personal identity, whether you like that fact or not. Who they are as individuals IS who they are as people. People have a tendency to like expressing themselves. Your personal preference for uniformity and stifling personal freedoms is just yours, and it's not how America's public school system does things.
usamuun 1 year ago
@usamuun Yes, that's right - people have a tendency to express themselves, and look at the condition of learning in our country and the so-called "Graduates" who can't read, write, add or subtract, or reason! THAT is what happens when school is used as a platform for everything EXCEPT LEARNING: when students attend with concerns about being noticed and about self-expression rather than LEARNING.
Go to Japan and look at how the students dress there. Look at their level of achievement too. THEN
GaleZMe 1 year ago
@usamuun see if you can defend nonsense like whimsical costuming and all related issues in connection to American students. The Japanese schools have strict dress codes. There's a reason for this. Its to keep the minds of the students on what they're supposed to learn, not on who is wearing what and why. That's why they do LEARN in Japanese schools. American schools? What a joke !
This country used to be great. Now its third-rate and slipping. But heck, when all those self-expressive students
GaleZMe 1 year ago
@usamuun become adults and have no jobs, no skills, and their country is a Third World sewer, they can at least take comfort that during their childhoods and teen years, they got to wear all their religious ornaments instead of paying attention to what they needed to become citizens who could keep the nation going.
GaleZMe 1 year ago
@GaleZMe Even Japanese students are allowed a certain level of uniform customization, and they are most definitely allowed to wear religious jewelry. There are much larger, relevant differences between Japanese and American schools. The fact that you're blaming the failure of our education system on individual dress is ridiculous and shows you have absolutely no handle on what you're talking about at all. Instead of blabbering on for three comments about red herrings, try doing more research.
usamuun 1 year ago
@GaleZMe very well put. And I am all for uniforms in school. The competition with clothing and trends is too distracting. And really, the majority of kids who think they are "witches" are going thru a phase, and are just attracted to the props, the theatrical, and the shock value - typical teens. If they couldn't rub it in everyones face, they probably wouldn't be interested.
