My wife used to work as an airport baggage handler- the work was pretty tedious, but her team managed to liven it up with mischief.

One guy always carried one of those metal spike hammers used to break glass. Whenever a bag with any kind of bottle was detected, he would give it a nice sharp tap, cracking the contents open to seep out over everything else.

The best was red wine in a bag full of clothing- this was regarded as ‘hitting the crimson jackpot’!

Hmmm... Todellisuus aikalailla toisenlainen T1:ssä, jossa matkatavarahihnat jumittuvat lähes joka aamu, välillä jopa 20 min ajaksi. Nykyaikaisilla kentillä on käytössä myös automatic baggage reconciliation system, eipä ole T1:ssä näkynyt.

Olisi vieläkin varmaan helpompaa ja turvallisempaa, jos matkalaukut olisivat käärittyinä suojakelmuun, niin kuin esimerkiksi Miamissa Floridassa, Australian isoilla kentillä sekä Saksassa ja Englannissa. Ei tuossakaan vauhdissa pääsisi laukku aukeamaan ja tavarat pitkin kuljetusjärjestelmää. Pieni lisäpalvelu matkustajille, josta hyötyvät kaikki :o)
