I love that! I love the attitude. I remember going to metal shows dressed in goth gear and going to goth shows dressed like a yuppie, etc. just to annoy some of the fans there who felt they had to dress a certain way just to fit in.

sadly elitists are in every major city no matter how large or small the scene is. Bummer you had a bad experience, not everyone is rude like that. Biting is one thing, being a -fill in with appropriate insult here- is another. Good for you for making someone feel uncomfortable with your freedom of expression.

LOL, good for you. I love the gothy scene and like to dress the role, but a good portion of my friends also go without the dressing up and get on just fine. There are always a few goth snobs who are always "gothier than thou", but for the most part no one really cares that much. :) Good show.

I can relate. I used to get harassed at a fetish club for wearing white instead of black. The whole "invading territory" or "must wear all black" is bullshit. If they honesty didn't give a shit about what others think of them, should let not care what others do? Believe it or not, the Goth/Emo scene is becoming so fucking cliqish (spelling) is almost like being back in high school.

Yeah the club scene is getting so fucked up. I met a guy at the RenFair who told me about how he went to a gothclub in a top hat and some other guy sent some people to threaten him cause he wasnt in fetish gear. Comon, a top hat! Since when is that ungoth, not to mention worth getting pissed over? It's getting insanely snobby and shallow--the antithesis of what what we stand for. The goth clubbers wernt always like this, were they?
